I don't think they would consider the B12 anyway, but that's totally out at this point. The B12 isn't going to bring them in just to see them jump to the P2 at the first chance. And any GOR they would sign doesn't mean anything. I mean would you do a pinky swear and make them "really" mean it this time?![]()
Hayes: Source says FSU's advisors 'doing them a disservice' in fight to leave ACC
A Big Ten source told Matt Hayes that FSU is getting bad advice in its public attempt to leave the ACC and find a new conference.www.saturdaydownsouth.com
Sounds like the B1G REALLY doesn't like how FSU is handling themselves:
When asked Tuesday if Florida State’s process of leaving the ACC would end with a spot in the Big Ten, a Big Ten source told Saturday Down South, “I don’t know who’s advising (FSU) right now, but they’re doing them a disservice.”
“They’re showing themselves to not be a dependable partner,” a second Big Ten source told Saturday Down South. “At the end of the day, you have to trust your partners. You have to know everyone is zeroed in on the same goal, the same future.”
Over the past 3 months, Big Ten sources have told Saturday Down South that FSU wasn’t a “fit” with the league or a dependable “partner” with its public extraction from the ACC.
Now lets put this in perspective you have second tier media person at best talking with second tier people employed by B1G entities (which may have agendas as well) making these comments and reporting them. However this pass the smell test and common sense would tell you that FSU is making huge mistakes in how they are handling the situation.
I think the general football fan population, and the 2nd tier press looking for clicks, is pushing all of this. I guarantee you the P2 want to get settled in with their new schools, their new contracts, the House ramifications, NIL, portal, etc. The House ramifications have to be keeping their entire AD busy right now. Neither are spending time thinking about FSU and Clemson.
