you know UT came to Nebraska about forming a Big 12 channel, but they said no and were exploring doing a Husker network for it's tier 3 rights.. UT then went to aggy about forming a LoneStar network, and they too turned them down. Texas had no idea that ESPN was gonna offer 300 mil for it..Pretty much Bama. But, the big 6 have the influence ... UA, AU, UF, UT, LSU and UGA.
Your own TV deal is an example of you getting to call the shots. That wouldn't happen in the SEC. The fact that the other teams allowed you to have unequal sharing shows that you call the shots, even if they went along with it. They had to. The teams in the SEC don't have to. I am not saying it's UT's fault ... could be. You did what was best for you. That's fine. Just doesn't work that way in the SEC.
LHN wouldn't have happened in the SEC because LHN was the practice dummy for the SEC network. Texas didn't go against anyone's wishes.. had they really been able to call the shots, there would be no LHN it would be a Big 12 network.
