Watched a video on the dynasty deep dive. They have definitely added a lot and made some changes that a lot of people wanted last year. I think recruiting and transfer portals were some huge things that needed to be improved and it looks like they made some nice changes.
- More coaching customizations and real HC's, over 100 I believe and I think that includes some coordinators
- transfer portal changes and recruiting changes- like, the dealbreakers are more realistic. For example, if a dealbreaker is playing time you need a certain number of snaps but even then if say a player breaks out or he was a high recruit they could still transfer. They have recruiting battles where a player narrows down schools and you have to make one final push, I like this. Schedule visits are based on proximity (not just 40 for every visit). If you have A+ for proximity, you will spend 10 or 20 instead. More emphasis on if you are close to signing a recruit, not just middle ground shit we saw. Pipeline customization. Basically much deeper scouting, better search options....more changes.
- wear and tear. Most thought this was overblown and pretty unrealistic. You can basically customize every setting for wear and tear for each position. For example, if you want a cut stick to have more wear and tear on players, even specific to position, you can customize just about anything you want. Regular tackles to the QB can mean less. A season and career "health clock" was added.
- player progression is smoother and consistent. Program building will have a factor to an extent. Also, a new player archetype system. Updates on training results and player progression is more clear on a weekly basis and in the offseason. You can see how much your player progressed from an overall standpoint, development traits, weight gain, etc. You can manually update player skills with the points...I'm not sure you could do this before.
- boom stick. I am skeptical about this one bc Madden was so bad and glitchy. But hopefully since they started it in Madden last year and they have worked out some kinks.
- a trophy room and records have been added. You can see a full trophy room from all history in any game mode. Tracking records, champions and more awards added. You can see these for each player too.
- Box scores, players stats and team stats updated. More stats, %'s, ratios, etc.
- positions updated. NT, WLB, SAM, LDE, RDE, EDGE, etc along with type of players like gadget players...this goes along with archetypes. You can added certain archetype players to certain formation subs...just another added setting to make it more realistic.
- more schedule customization. You can lock in long-term matchups and more schedule settings. These are more aligned to what we see today.
- "full screen takeover". When you player beats a season or team record something will come up on the screen. Don't know all the details but it seemed noteworthy and cool.
