Wait Elon is MAGA now?
Also fwiw he invested in Tesla before a single car had ever been madeView attachment 84801
I'm just going to throw this out there before it all gets lost in the mix............
Elon Musk didn't create Tesla. He "acquired" it. He didn't invent shit.
We now return you to the thread previously in process.........
Also fwiw he invested in Tesla before a single car had ever been made
In 2003, Mr Musk became the largest shareholder of Tesla after ploughing more than $6m in investments into the company, which by that point had not built a real car yet.
The electric-car maker is valued at more than $1trn, according to Reuters, with Mr Musk owning between 17 and 21 per cent of the company – valued in the region of $175bn – and acting as its chief executive
So we out on Tesla now?
We out on Tesla now? What exactly is this supposed to mean?
(wonder what you know that isn't so this time)
Speak English faggot. Say what the fuck you are trying to imply. I don't speak retardanese! We out on Tesla now?
What a fucking little chickenshit you turned out to be. You are too much of a chickenshit to explain your own retardation.....
We out on Tesla now?!?!?
WTF is that supposed to mean? Are you "in on Tesla" retard?
Starts shit and when confronted tucks tail like the little coward he is.
So many retards here lately..........
Ive never claimed he knows anything about anything.......... dunno what tree you're barking up, just pointing out hes been an investor.....He knows where to invest money. That doesn't mean he knows much about auto design!
Look at that stupid looking cyber truck! That looks like his work there....haha
Right. but you don't have a gas pump at your house. After the GM discount the car was almost exactly $27,000. I think you'd find that price comparable to most gasoline compact SUV's in the class. My wife almost exclusively uses her car as a commuter vehicle, so the use case for us is perfect. I still have my larger gas SUV to drive up north, longer trips, ect. Her commute is around 80 miles total, she'll never have to visit a gas pump again.Conversely, it takes roughly one minute to go from 20-25% to 100% using a gas pump.
This generation of EVs is not practical enough for me to invest in one. It's like spending thousands on the first generation of plasma TV 20+ years ago when we [well, at least the wise of us] knew technology is just getting started on HD flat screens.
Not that whether or not Musk invented electric cars has much of anything to do with the thread, but I heard he acquired Tesla using credit card reward points.Elon Musk didn't create Tesla. He "acquired" it. He didn't invent shit.

Word.I know huh! We have posters here who've gotten so many reward points they've bought their own private islands!
Its amazing how much money credit card companies just giveaway....

Yes, the technology will improve. And I think it will improve to the point where when I buy another car in 7~ish years to replace my SUV, electric tech will be at a point where we can completely ditch gas. But you are right, it's not for everyone right now.
Based on all the estimate data out there, it should cut our "bill" from about $200/month (as you noted) to somewhere in the $50-$75/month range. But we won't know until we have a full month under our belt charging it. So we'll know probably in November.Assuming 20 business days per month (factoring sickness and vacation, it's probably a little less than that in a given year), 80 miles * 20 days/month = 1600 miles per month / Assuming 30 miles/gallon of fuel = 53.3 gallons of fuel consumed per month * $3.40/gallon = $181.22 spent on fuel per month.
I'm curious to know the ultimate difference you experience between "saving money on gas" and "consuming extra electricity at home". Do you have any self-generation power sources (i.e. solar, wind) or are you running strictly off of public works?
I'm also curious to know how electric vehicles hold up to brutally cold temperatures. The first iterations of EVs were built in and for temperate climates. How does the new car and battery respond after it's been sitting in your wife's job's parking lot for 8 hours in <0°F temperatures (I assume you're living in MI)? How does it respond to those same conditions five years from now? Do brutally cold temperatures drastically reduce the life of the battery?
Word.
Mrs Redfoot and I enjoyed a $400 dinner at Fleming's last week paid for by the CC company. Delicious and free!
Confused on what happened retard?
I'll explain...
You thought I said a bad thing about one of your fellow cultist. You WRONGLY thought Elon was a Trump cult clown as you are, but you were wrong. I called you out on your stupidity, showed you to be wrong and like a chickenshit, you tucked tail and ran like the fucking little sissy you are. Now you know...
