Season will start early for sure with WC. Big problem not everyone will get vaccinated. Problem is with the the new variant, even vaccinated, it is so contagious you have players who are vaccinated and playing, then whole teams get it, maybe half will have symptoms and in the end you won't be playing games anyways. It is what it is, and the new life. If everyone vaccinated, maybe different story then start treating like the flu or a cold when they don't play either but seems more people getting this than cold or flu. I have two family members who got it and vaccinated and had symptoms so they couldn't play if they were soccer players. Also, if EPL lets positive players playing, they will get booted from UCL and Europa etc. Other countries playing their games what is up with England? It is a shit show though.

Liverpool won’t catch city. We got 1 game vs them at the ethiad, still have to go to Stamford Bridge and the Emirates and we’ll drop points at least two more times at home.

I think most are symptom free and barely sick. Not Kimmich, Moting, De Bruyne though. I think they got hit pretty hard. I know there are others, but I have yet to hear an athlete die from it. So 274 million cases, 5.35 million deaths...but not a single athlete out that 5.35 million?

EPL trying to get as many games in as they can because they don’t want to extend the season. They’ve stated it’s a hard stop on May 22nd. I’m guessing because they are going to want to start early because of that WC break next November and December.

If people are going to be missing significant starters (3 or more) stop all games and wait until this passes. But on the flip side, guys are testing positive with no or few symptoms and that’s it. Don’t want to make this political but at what point does this shit just end and this gets played through? Are we literally going to have players in the stands that tested positive yet are fine???? At some point someone Needs to have the balls to say play. SPECIFICALLY IF EVERYONE IS VACCINATED.

On a positive side of things, the new variant has apparently been a lot more contagious but its symptoms and effects have been a lot less severe. So less downtime and hopefully fewer long term side effects.

I wasn't sure what to expect given the virus outbreak and 2+ weeks off. They looked pretty sharp (except in finishing) aggressive and hungry. Really intense fun game to watch.

A few great saves and blocks by Allison and your defense turned away some real key chances for Spurs. I thought we would probably lose after not capitalizing on so many early chances. Really could and should have put 3 away early and taken a comfortable lead.

After that, Liverpool was bombing our end and I though surely yall would get one more in before halftime and we would crumble. Didn't happen though.

Spurs finally looking capable of playing against top sides again. Good to see, even if we couldn't quite put the game away like we would have liked. Very promising for their top 4 hopes. That race is going to be a dogfight till the end.

NFL is doing it (like all leagues that will do it) for the money. It’s the root of every evil. While it really isn’t thrilling it’s being done because of money, as fucked up as it sounds I’m not against what they are doing.

Feels like Chelsea is trying to make life interesting for a top 4 spot. Granted this schedule and people being out with Covid isn’t helping. Still, no reason they should have draw vs Everton at the bridge last week.

Pep Guardiola has said he believes players may have to threaten a strike if they want football's governing bodies to take their welfare seriously.

Pep warning players should strike to wake the execs up On their concerns. I don’t think he is wrong. But it takes some balls to say that. He is wrong to blame EPL 100% on the sub rule. He should be blaming the 15+ clubs that voted for 3.

Seems like more games Sunday keep getting postponed. Wouldn’t be shocked if they all do sadly.

The holiday fixture list is ridiculous in EPL. Even if they keep the 3 sub rule, they should make special concession during that time period...and that's even without taking into account COVID issues everyone currently has.

ohh I absolutely agree. Some clubs will be playing twice in 3 days. WTF??? They could push some of these games to mid march and especially mid april when almost all the clubs are free during the week.

I just though it was funny Pep blaming the EPL hierarchy when it was all but a few clubs that voted for 3 subs only.
