Ler me tell you this

If Iowa loses out theyre not getting in

And it wouldnt even be close

Theyd be 19-13 ( 9-11 ) with 1 Q1 win ( max ) and 2 Q4 losses

Theyd be like a 5 seed in the NIT lol

I looked at their schedule and thought even if they lose out, they'd probably end up in Dayton at the worst. Even with losing out, my guess is they would have stayed top 30 in the NET. Which no team top 30 had ever been left out(even though it's a short sample size). Glad they won last night so I don't look like a moron had they done it. Lol.

I think they're locked up right now.

Hopefully but lets just ein out to make sure lol

I didn't think that could be. But I just looked at their schedule and you seem spot on. Their OOC wasn't very good at all IMO.

But, where are the Q4 losses?

If they lost out in that hypothetical scenario there would be 2 Q4 losses he was saying.

Going to watch UNLV and Boise tonight. I dont know how many MWC teams are going t make it, but I think it UNLV continues to play the way they have the last 3 weeks, they could have a chance to at least make the tourney. They need to show up big in the MWC tourney though.

Bart torvik (great site basically a free KenPom) has a great thing on his site where you put in results for the rest of the season and he will seed your team.

If Iowa loses out in the regular season Torvik has them as a 9 seed. Going into their conference tournament.

I think UVa can get in if they win out and make a ACCCG appearance.
They have FSU in Cville. FSU is 3-8 on the road.
They have Loserville in Loserville. Loserville is 1-4 over their last 5 home games.
Current ACCT seeding has them playing winner of BC/GT, then Miami, ND, then Duke/UNC.
That would be 2, Q1 wins in the ACCT, and if they lose close to Duke in ACCCG, that may be enough to get them in.
Lol nevermind

I don't know what the hell went on with Rutgers early season, but they sure as hell don't play at Q3 level.

Lunardi has Wake as a 10 seed and safely in for now

Bracket Matrix also has Deacs as a 10

I thought this would be a fun exercise to keep track of with about 2 1/2 weeks left in the regular season/conference tournaments. I'll be keeping track of LOCKS, WORK TO DO, & WIN Conference Tournament(WINCT) to secure a bid.

Of note, to be considered a LOCK, it means you have the ability to lose out the regular season, and your first conference tournament game, and still get an at-large. Some of these teams MIGHT be able to do that, but I'm not 100% sure they'd get in.

Here's the list:

Big 12:
LOCKS:
Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas, Iowa State
WORK TO DO: TCU, Oklahoma, Kansas State
WINCT: WVU

B1G:
LOCKS:
Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio State, Iowa, Michigan State
WORK TO DO: Rutgers, Michigan, Indiana
WINCT: PSU, NW, MD, Minn, Neb

SEC:
LOCKS:
Auburn, UK, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU
WORK TO DO: South Carolina, UF, Miss St, Texas A&M
WINCT: Vandy, Ole Miss, Missouri, UGA

Big East:
LOCKS
: Providence, Villanova, UConn, Creighton
WORK TO DO: Marquette, Seton Hall, Xavier
WINCT: SJU, Butler, DePaul, Georgetown

ACC:
LOCKS:
Duke
WORK TO DO: ND, UNC, Miami, Wake Forest
WINCT: UVA, VT, Cuse, BC, UL, FSU, Pitt, Clemson, NCSU, GT

Pac 12:
LOCKS:
Arizona, UCLA, USC
WORK TO DO: Oregon
WINCT: Colorado, WSU, UW, Stanford, ASU, Utah, Cal, Oregon State

Others:
LOCKS
: Gonzaga, Colorado State, St. Mary's, Murray State
WORK TO DO: Houston, Memphis, SMU, Boise State, Wyoming, SDSU, UNLV, San Francisco, BYU, Davidson, VCU, Dayton, Loyola Chicago, North Texas, Belmont

Assuming a LOCK wins their respective conference tournament, there are 33 teams for 24 spots.

Conferences to keep an eye on as far as "bid thieves": AAC, Mtn. West, A-10, OVC.

Add to the LOCK list: TCU, Marquette, Seton Hall, Houston, Boise State

WINCT: Belmont, Oklahoma, Kansas State

X in trouble, lotta trouble.

Lunardi has basically swapped Wake's position w/ UNC's the past few days

makes zero sense, b/c nothing of significance happened during those days.

Rutgers doing what they do and Indiana doing what they do. Typical

Creighton has to be a lock at this point no matter what they metrics say. No way they get left off getting 12 wins in the Big East and the wins they have.

100%

BE is not getting less than 5 bids.

And with X losing every time they play. They have voluteered to be the 1 team left out if the conference doesnt get 6.

What took so long?! I had them locked up last week! Lol. Admittedly, may have been a little premature with locking them up, but they are for sure now. Swept UConn, and Marquette. Beat Nova. 20-9. They're in.

I wanted them to lay down and die so the other teams could get wins, but they never did... I think they'll get another couple of wins too.

Wake beats the stuffing out of their biggest rival, while UNC barely beats Syracuse so Lunardi has swapped Wake/UNC again

lmao
