You know full well Germany blew it as opposed to getting beaten by a superior team.
This was a sign. I thought Sterling had fucked up badly and let the game level after he just put England up. Muller never misses those. And now, we can’t say that again.

Muller had a very bad game. They whole team is shit. 3 out of the 4 Euro game Germany was crap. Team needs a big makeover. Now with Low gone and Hansi (the real 2014 World Cup coach) will go it. No more 3 man back line for sure. Muller did not earn his callup here but wasn't the only one. Will probably see Wirtz, Unmecha, Slotterbeck, Berisha, and a few others up for the World Cup and no more Can, Kroos, Sane, Werner, maybe Muller and Hummels too.
60%-40% to me. Germany did nothing that worked. But, they also were given no room. Except the Muller break they were blanketed all game. And when they did have a few chances Pickford kept them in.
I can’t fully discount those efforts.

All Werner had to do was elevate his shot and it was 1-0 Germany. He did the same thing he did at Chelsea all season, shooting right at the keeper with a good amount of open net.
Not enough can be said about how good Declan Rice is. Dude was phenomenal for the Hammers this past season. I'd love to poach him over to Spurs but we can't even purchase a manager, let alone a quality player.

I think England is a superior team at this time. Germany is a hot mess and been that for 3 years now with no signs of changing my opionion on that. Garbage against England, France, Hungary, previously North Macendion in World Cup Qualifying, Spain in Nations League. Nothing good about Germany right. Either the talent sucks or the coaching, probably a little of both.

You are right about Pickford. Player of the match in my opinion. Stopped Werner and Havertz.

I would’ve started Gnabry over Werner. I would’ve brought Musiala on way sooner too. Easy to say this now. I was puzzled by the Werner choice.
Ok….wow. I was neutral in cheering this. But I was impressed. Didn’t realize this was a home crowd game for England. That’s the best home crowd advantage I’ve seen in nearly two years. Just wow.
I’ll say it again….Germany didn’t help themselves, but really Muller was the only unforced error. Pickford made plays, especially that punch over the bar in the first half. It was there to take. England won it.

Perhaps. Just disappointing. Upsetting seeing these ecstatic English assholes jump around. Not used to it.
Maybe, but Gnabry was pretty terrible when he did come in.
Werner should have beat him high for the early goal. Bad on him. But Pickford was there all game. He was dead to rights on the Muller breakaway, but most would have been.
He earned the clean sheet they preserved for him.
This is a huge weight lifted for England. This could be huge momentum.
