Game wasn't on here, which didn't really bother me, as I know what to expect from this team.

Son texts me about halftime, asks if I'm watching (they have Dish), I say no. He says, "They're killing it."

Hour later, "Oh no, we suck again."

Morning folks. Good weekend at the lake. Got home last night. Couldn’t sleep and now I’m wiped with 3 big work things to get done today. No daycare and distance learning the next 2 days, so I need to be extra productive today.

Lakers in the Finals, Twins in the playoffs. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

I knew Miami was decent...but I didn't think they were Finals good. Damn the Bulls f*cked up so bad with Butler. :(

this was kinda cool. frankie. hadnt sen him in maybe 20 years. frankie is slow. but he always hung out with us, one of the guys more or less. we lost touch.
dude showed up in a full, brand new, leather outfit. his wife had tights with cupcakes on them. sweet people. frankie is a groupie apparently.

The Lakers are the Lakers because Minnesota has lots of lakes. Since they moved to LA shouldn't they be renamed something that Los Angeles and Southern California has lots of, like the Los Angeles Douchebags?

Good morning good people. Still trying to get the wife out of rehab. I'll pay them another visit today. Wife is getting desperate. All the BS they told me turned out to be lies. There is no special directive for rehab clinics from the state. The reviews on line are awful. They moved her to an inside room so I can't see her from the outside.

I'm thinking of having her fake a mini heart attack, by her claiming she can't breathe and having her start screaming. They might take her back to the hospital.

The Cowboys laid another egg yesterday. The NFC East is so bad that the Cows are tied for 1st place. Chicago is 3-0 and they want to replace their QB. Drew Brees looks old. Aaron Rodgers looks old. Oscar looks old.

Thought for the day: The entire month of September is Halloween Eve.

Had a nice weekend. In-laws' place on Saturday for my BIL (wife's brother)'s birthday was a bit weird at first. Nobody seems to want to make rules on how to handle the COVID sitch, but we wound up being able to spend almost all the time there outside, so problem more or less solved.

Went to my sister and other brother-in-law's place yesterday for disappointing sportball and good food. Brisket and pork belly on the smoker. Wife did well driving, too. First time on the interstate for her since the stroke.

disappointing? Eagles gained ground on the NFCE and BDN made his triumphant return. As an added bonus, Celtics got knocked out.

Phillies had to win one game against a team basically going through the motions, and got swept.
 
My brother, his fiancé, and another couple booked a vacation to Costa Rica in February. I said, “Are you sure they are even letting people from the US into Costa Rica?”

He was convinced the answer was yes. Turns out he’s right...sort of. Some people from the US can get in, but not people from MN or ND.
