“The penal code in Texas, and in 49 other states, and in most civilized countries, doesn’t give you any legal basis to shoot and kill someone who ripped you off,” KPRC 2 Legal Analyst Brian Wice said. “This could have been theft by false pretense. But regardless of whether or not it was, the penal code, not to mention common sense, says that you can’t use deadly force.”

Ok, I get deadly force is more than likely a gross overstep but how about if you just beat the shit out of the guy. If I'm on a jury you would have a hard time getting me to convict this guy for the shooting to be honest.

I’m cool with it. There should be harsh consequences for scamming people out of their hard earned money these days.

A thorough asskicking would’ve been a more just sentence, but I’m not complaining about there being one less oxygen thief in the world.

I'm not down with killing people that wronged you (over 40 dollars) If that was the consequences. We would all be dead.

I knew I guy I went to school with that killed a guy that owed him 25 dollars. While seeing from one point of view (one less thief) you need to see the other side. This guy was unhinged enough to kill a person over a very small amount of money. The guy I knew thought he was all good since he wasnt 18 yet. Surprise surprise. He was tried as an adult.
The thief is less dangerous to me than the guy willing to kill over something so small.

I mean if you kill them then you are permanently out of $25. If you let them live and harass them forever you might get your money back.
