Just the opposite for me. I'd rather spend outdoor time on my own property and my horizons are measured in miles not feet.

I don't mind neighbors either.. I mean I've basically lived in an apartment ever since I left my parents house so I am "used" to the noise but I don't really want them that close to me

I get that and there are things I'd enjoy no doubt.

If I could work remote 100% time until retirement, I'd consider an exurb if I didn't have to worry about commuting

If you are talking about the housing prices in Portsmouth you are correct. I did a project out there last year and the neighbors were selling a 1,600 sq ft ranch for a little over $500K. :eek:

I think your apartment neighbors probably live closer than any suburb neighbors....

Yes, I am. My sister live in Greenland and we visit Portsmouth from time to time and the last time we were there it still had a house for sale and the price went up $100K

Yes, Portsmouth NH was always pricey but it is getting even worse

i'm on a half acre, so good spacing, but neighbors behind me are right behind me, I can look into their kitchen from my porch pretty easy

of course people can look into my living room pretty easy, we really should get better curtains

Well, free porn is always a good thing..

But I don't really like how they can see into your place so easily but that's what we have to get used to I guess.

lots of windows in my living room which is facing the street, two streets actually since I am on the corner

The real estate market in NH is smokin hot right now. In Bedford where I do most of my projects $500k will get you a 2,000 sq ft colonial that probably needs to be updated.

Sounds about right.

I believe my sisters house just got appraised around $680K which was an increase of $50K plus I belive
