I know the Lions have a slim shot, but can you imagine the epicness of the Superbowl and CFB National Champion existing in the state of Michigan in a single year?Harbaugh isn't winning the Super Bowl this year, but first things first.

I don’t mean to get in the way of Michigan hate, but what you call “watered down” is probably what we can expect for a while, and is a good thing, and the silver lining of this new era being shaped by the transfer portal and NIL. Talent will be more spread out and not hoarded to the same degree by the same 4 or 5 programs.Eh, they won a title* in the most watered down season of the CFP era. Below average seasons for OSU, Clemson, Georgia, LSU. A bottom 5 Bama team of the entire Saban era. It was michigan's best team ever and they narrowly beat some very mediocre teams. This is literally their program's pinnacle: cheating like mad and winning a title without having to beat any truly great teams. It's the perfect embodiment of "pure michigan".
You do, for sure.We may seem that way ... we have just been a bit too much. Add on the current success of the Detroit Lions and you can see why we may appear "Retarded" (in your infantile words). Mea Culpa. If life is hard wear a helmet (thank you Candace Owens)!!!

I hope you are correct. But I think it is going to depend on how the collectives perform at all those places that aren't those "same 4 or 5 programs". They've got to step up.I don’t mean to get in the way of Michigan hate, but what you call “watered down” is probably what we can expect for a while, and is a good thing, and the silver lining of this new era being shaped by the transfer portal and NIL. At this point, though, there's nothing in the way from a Michigan standpoint. Everything is on the table. If he leaves, it isn't because we didn't do something to keep him. Which has been the worry up to this point.
So Tennessee commits 200 instances of like 17 level 1 violations. Lets just say the NCAA punishes michigan equally....you think those relatively nonsense penalties would prevent someone from coaching here? I don't. Scholarship reductions really mean little in the era of the transfer portal.
Sorry I couldn’t get into Michigan State … my GPA was too high.I'd love to see Detroit get it. But I'm only gonna be happy for the Michigan State Detroit fans. Screw all you scUM Detroit fans
I still think there's a real possibility that 1. The NCAA doesn't even rule this a violation - or - a level 1 violation and 2. If they do, have any measurable punishment here (maybe harbaugh suspension for some more games?)I agree, Michigan has done everything it could. Michigan's reason for losing Harbaugh if they do will simply be bc they aren't an NFL team.
I don't know. This is a different animal so not sure how the NCAA will handle it. Every scandal I can ever remember had to do with impermissible benefits. This is the first college one I can remember or know of that they are looking at whether an actual game advantage was gained. Since there really isn't a precedent I feel like they will do absolutely nothing or go super harsh, not in between.
I'm not sure why you mention the transfer portal when it comes to scholly reductions. Transfers are still getting scholarships
Maybe to an extent, but it was still a perfect storm for them this year. I look at them the same way I looked at Auburn in the early 2010s when they won a NC and played in another - it's a nice little run for them out of nowhere, but this obviously isn't a program that's proven it can maintain any kind of elite success, so let them enjoy it while it's here. For example - this year's Washington team won a CFP game and made the title game, and they were rated a good amount below their other CFP team in 2016 that got shelled. It was just that kind of year, so I don't really take it very seriously.I don’t mean to get in the way of Michigan hate, but what you call “watered down” is probably what we can expect for a while, and is a good thing, and the silver lining of this new era being shaped by the transfer portal and NIL. Harbaugh still in a meeting in LA. They most likely don’t let him out until they come to a deal. They won’t let him go to ATL.
It doesn’t matter how much scUM offers him. Too much drama, sanctions and scandals. Plus he was going back to the NFL eventually.
Pretty simple.
This morning they thought he was back in Ann Arbor because according to their insiders he was supposed to be there for meetings today. Not good for them if he really blew off meetings with Michigan to stay in LA.
Mid 30s and raining with spotty sleet, but that had nothing to do with it. Thank you for tracking Harbaugh and advising us who have better things to do.This morning they thought he was back in Ann Arbor because according to their insiders he was supposed to be there for meetings today. ^^^I'm on board with this but will exclude my new Lion bro @RobBase because I can't hate on him now.I'd love to see Detroit get it. But I'm only gonna be happy for the Michigan State Detroit fans. Screw all you scUM Detroit fans

Yeah -- Michigan came out of nowhere. No one had heard about them before this past year.Maybe to an extent, but it was still a perfect storm for them this year. You're very retarded. People had heard of Auburn too, but they hadn't had that level of success in ages, like recent michigan. They also cheated (paid Cam Newton), so you have another thing in common with them.Yeah -- Michigan came out of nowhere. No one had heard about them before this past year.
Out of curiosity? What kind of elite success are you speaking of? Your school has 2 titles in 53 years and hasn't won one in a decade. Is that the elite success?![]()
