It's being reported that Jaden Rashada ...

He is an example of a guy that did it right, managed his money well and will live a productive life.
It is a shame more guys don't follow his lead then. Crazy how these players will blow thru their fortunes.

Campbell wasn't pretty good. Completed 60% of his passes, 80 tds, 60 ints, finished 18 games under .500 as a starter.

He is pretty good for the list of QB's i put up, but he was mediocre, at best, as a QB in the NFL.
Back end of the first round guy. Didn’t have a ton of hype coming in. Had a solid career IMO

For every Josh Allen there are at least 30 (and realistically, it is much more than 30) Zach Wilson's and Josh Rosen's. The QB position is a grave yard for top college QB's. The game is so different from college to the NFL -- you never know what you will get.

JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Johnny Manziel, Jake Locker, Paxton Lynch, Dwayne Haskins(RIP), Tim Tebow, EJ Manuel, Matt Leinart, Christian Ponder, JP Losman, Patrick Ramsey, Blaine Gabbert, Kyle Boller, David Carr, Joey Harrington, Josh Freeman, Jason Campbell, Mitch Trubisky, Byron Leftwich, Rex Grossman, Vince Young, Marcus Mariota, Teddy Bridgewater, Mark Sanchez, Baker Mayfield, Chad Pennington, Carson Wentz.

These are just the 1st round QB's who were mediocre to flat out terrible in the NFL in the last 20 years.
30:1 That's about the correct ratio IMHO....if we are talking about "blah or less" versus "stars". And the QB position is different from college to the NFL. But the "systems" in college don't really seem to predict which one is better at preparing QBs. Mahomes is a good example. A lot of Air Raid QBs haven't transitioned to the NFL worth a damn. He has. Same for some pro style guys in college. They should have been better prepared and stunk it up in the NFL as well.

He played his career with the Redskins so its not like it was his fault the whole organization was/is a shit show.

I can't blame an organization for the failure of a QB. Kirk Cousins threw for almost 5,000 yards in a season on Washington and in 3 years as a starter, he threw for over 13,000 yards with 83 tds and only 32 interceptions. Robert Griffin could have been an superstar if he didn't blow out his knee -- he tore it up his 1 year as QB at Washington.

Campbell was a serviceable QB, but shouldn't have been a starter. He would have been a solid backup for a team. That is where the shit show Organization comes into play, as he was their best option.

So looks like Fla officially released him from his NLI because they welched on his NIL.

Which is why we all know that Stet IV should obviously be the first QB off the board.

Rashada reportedly in Tempe this weekend visiting ASU. Has a relationship with Kenny Dillingham from when Oregon recruiting Rashada. He's visiting TCU next weekend reportedly. I've heard Cal, UW and Colorado are in it as well.

Well we know it ain’t Colorado. They can’t even pay their coaches.

Think he has a shot as a long time backup. Win a free games here or there. Make bank doing that.
Very well could. I doubt anyone thought Purdy (aka Mr Irrelevant) would do this well. Even the 49ers thought he would or they’d of drafted him sooner.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s played far above any reasonable expectations, and I have a decent chunk of change riding on the 9ers this year, but the 9ers have the best roster top to bottom in the NFL IMO. The QB is their weakest link(and it was with the other two peckerwoods they ran out there this year too, and Purdy has arguably outperformed both of them)

lol all 4 of the remaining NFL QBs who will be starting Sunday are younger than Stetson Bennett
Which means exactly what? I've never understood the "Stetson is 25" nonsense. It's within the rules, he obviously has an incredible story of overcoming the odds by being persistent which means he is going to be older than the 3 year players, and with the Covid year the average age of CFB players is going to be higher than ever. Hooker is 3 months younger than Stetson, and we Heisman winner who was 28 or something. I don't really think that's the cut you think it is.

That is funny but that’s the norm for a BYU roster! And it may well say something about the mentality of CFB and QBs. How about playing the mature developed guy that’s been kicked around a little instead of the new “flashy” guy? Both QBs in the final fit that criteria. So did the trifecta in Norman a few years ago with Mayfield, Murray and Hurts. All three of them had to take back seats and be humbled a little. Sure seems like it may have helped them. (All three came out of Texas high schools so one could deduce that some of the cause for their immaturity is our fault.)

Another reason it doesn’t make sense to give some of these QBs astronomical contracts. I totally see why Baltimore doesn’t want to give into to Lamar Jackson’s demands because it handcuffs the organization like Arizona did with Murray.

Everyone thinks they have a Patrick Mahomes but the money being fished out on QBs is ridiculous. The 49ers are proving this right now.

Watson isn’t worth the money he is getting paid.
Dak isn’t worth the money he is getting paid.
Russel Wilson isn’t worth the money is being paid.
Kurt Cousins isn’t worth what he is getting paid.
Green Bay would be better off shedding Rodger’s contract at this point and rebuilding.

Mahomes, Allen and Burrow deserve the big contracts but after that everyone else just is under performing, aging out or just not cutting it.

Hurts deserves a raise but not FU money.
Tua isn’t going to physically make it much longer.
Lawrence is someone to watch and has upside.
I like NY’s Jones but he has a lot more to prove.

lol.. QBs are going to ALWAYS get the bulk of the money/cap space. It's just the way it is.. sure go ahead and play moneyball with QBs and see how it plays out for you in the NFL..
