Its official, Brent Venables next head coach at OU

The offensive talent he just got will probably translate into 2 or 3 more wins.

Still a ways off from taking the East I think...but more competitive for sure.

Rattler doesn't suck.
It's two guys and they won 6 games. If they win 9 then Rattler should win the Heisman.

One of the two guys is a QB.

He's a better QB than anything you've seen for quite some time.

I have no idea what their schedule is next year, but yeah....9 wins sounds about right.

You should hear the expectations here already. Ive got a couple guys in the office that are already talking about this being a bigger deal than spurrier and how Rattler is going pro next year after balling out.

I'll give South Carolina fans credit in they fill the stadium and stick with their team no matter what. Let them dream.

Something seriously bad happened with Spencer Rattler at OU. Every OU fan wondered what was wrong when he suddenly turned into a piece of wood, couldn't move, couldn't throw anything like he did last year.......and just looked lost on the sidelines. It was supposed to be "our year" with another Heisman winner but it all went south starting in the first game. Here we are months later and there's still no explaining what happened. OU fans do hope whatever it was is now in the past since he is getting to start over somewhere else.

That was funny....I like your jokes.
Bo = 61% completion rate at 7 yds per
Rattler = 75% completion rate at 8 yds per

....should I continue? Keep in mind this was with a very distracted snake pussy as HC.

You're assuming I felt like Bo was a good QB. Bad assumption....,.

Choose your weapon then Mr. Fan of a team with identity issues. Pick any of your last 4 qbs and let’s see?

Nick Marshall

I’d take him all day everyday over Rattler.

Never averaged more than 6.2 ypa and 60% completion rate. He was a dual-threat QB, not a pocket guy like Rattler so his legs generated a lot of yards and that would be the only thing to keep him comparable in any way.

Look, I know you won't want to admit it but you aren't used to seeing high-level qb play. Its ok. I understand. You will too after he rips your team up if you're unlucky enough to get them on the schedule.

It’s ok it’s been so long since you guys played in a national championship game that you forget what’s really important in a QB. Winning.

The longer he was in Lincoln Riley's system the worse he became.
The same thing happened to Caleb Williams.

Hell, in the last couple of games, it looked like Williams was afraid to pass it, and was afraid to run it.
That's a bad combination.

Coincidence both guys regressed the same way ???

And Riley didn't develop Jalen Hurts either; Alabama did that. It's why OU fans were getting "that funny feeling" when things really started coming apart at the seams this season. The D always sucks. But the O looking wobbly? A lot of us were seriously concerned about heading into the SEC like that. Riley's leaving will hopefully allow OU to successfully come up with a different formula for what it will take to win in the SEC. When you have two generational quarterbacks in a row (Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray), you can convince the world of a lot of things. It is going to be interesting to see how USC does over the next 3-4 years with Riley and that poseur of a defensive coordinator Alex Grinch. USC's a great school and the only true blue blood on the West Coast. If he turns out to be a 9-3 or 10-2 coach, his goose is cooked.

Roof went from being the DC to Georgia Tech to NC State to App State to Vandy to a defensive assistant @ Clemson in five years

he sucks

I wouldn't get too concerned about Kaden Helms not signing his LOI today.
Bellevue West had school cancelled due to weather.
