aggy never recruited as good prior to Jimbo (outside of the fedex scandal, but even then..)

they gotta nail the correct coach.. I hear deboar but not sure if that does anything for them.. I would put money on Traylor at a low contract but they give him a nice size check for his staff. He's a Texas guy through and through and he can recruit
 
The biggest thing imo with Jimbo at A&M was, the guy either missed on or couldn’t keep his QB1 healthy.
I mean, name the best QB he has had while at A&M and is he even on an NFL roster?
That position HAS to be right in a conference like the SEC (as well as anywhere else too TBH) or you will struggle.

If I was a coach on the rise I'd want bank to go to Texas A&M since it appears to be where careers go to die.
 
Anytime a team talks about firing a coach the first thing I ask is, 'Can they do better?' I'm not sure TA&M can. They'll be able to get a big name, like say LSU got a big name, but as Jimbo proved that alone don't mean shit. I'd love to hear an insider's take on what's wrong there.
 
$76 million. HMMMMM ... I guess that's a fair price for all of those moral victories.

No doubt money helps. But, the two flagship schools in my state have collectively spent a shitpot full of it the past 10 years. And have done so without a single appearance in the CFP. Can anyone else come close to the kind of non ROI?
 
Would like to see Klieman get it. The guy can coach.
