Saw it in the movie theater in 1978. Got my friends father to take us. We were under 17. Double feature with Three Days of the Condor. The cinematograghy was epic. A Vietnam movie but not much in Vietman. Super depressing film. First Merryl Streep film. Last film for John Cazale. John Cazale only guy whose every film nominated for an Academy Award. Merryl fiance too.

They wanted to fire Cazale because of his health, and Streep basically said that if he goes, she goes. Kept him on the movie.

Wild story and true. Cazale in first 2 Godfather movies, The Conversation, Dog Day Afternoon, and The Deer Hunter. What a resume!!!! Him and Pacino good friends.

She was terrible....you found her believable as an action hero? Switching between charli and the school teacher? That whole tortue scene with her tied to the water wheel. Cmon man really?? Being hot was her greatest attribute in the 90s but as an actor she should've just stayed in her wheelhouse of quirkiness. The whole plot of the movie was shit too many better actresses could've made it more entertaining. Slj with his misogynistic quips. Not funny. Director did the genre much better with films like die hard 2 and cliffhanger. Hell his adventures of ford Fairlane with Andrew dice clay was a better movie.

Emily the Criminal - Netflix

Never heard of it but Google suggested it and we gave it a go and it's really good, I would give it an 8 out of 10. Low budget but shot very well with grit and is story and character-driven.

Aubrey Plaza is the lead and she kills it as a young woman who can't get a break, needs money and just happens to fall into a credit card fraud scheme through desperation. It's not a complex story but compelling and interesting.

I recommend.

A movie the wife could not believe Ive never seen and said I would love it.......Well,shes horribly wrong,I may have liked it if I was a chick.....
Wth wants to watch Tom,Val and the others shirtless,in their underwear,swimming trunks,walking around in towels and love scenes with Kelly McGillis......??

The movie was made for women......not men.

I rate this movie a D....................for dumb!!
 
The Purge: Election Year (2016)
10/10

Lots of the usual gun action, mayhem, and kill shots from both sides in this installment as Senator Charlie Roan, a Presidential candidate is targeted for death on Purge night due to her vow to eliminate the Purge. Former police sergeant Barnes becomes head of security for Roan. After a betrayal forces them onto the streets of D.C. on Purge night, Roan is abducted and taken to a church for a Purge mass where anti-purgers are to be executed to the cheers of wealthy purge supporters. Barnes and the anti-purgers arrive just before Roan's throat is slit, shoot up the purgers and supporters, and Roan continues her run for the presidency.

Ya I know,cant believe I watched this after just watching the 1st one wiith me giving a rating of D.......but it is defenitley worse than the 1st,not even worth a watch......it totally sucked.....but the wife wanted to see it.......so theres that.

Not my brand of movies........first one is a chick flick and the 2nd one was just bad........
But hey,if you wanna see young men running around in beach wear with no shirts,lockerroom wearing towels,Tom C machoism movie made for women,you have right at it.....

2nd one was just plane boring(all pun intended).....and as the moment Gooses son was in the movie,you knew damn good and well what the ending was coming down to.......take it or leave it.....dont care.
