Let's see how long the 12 team CFP takes tp get here when this happens ...

The Big 12 trying to claim Baylor and TCU as co champs helped OSU’s cause. TCU dropped from like third to like 6th after destroying Iowa State in their final game IIRC.

But it’s probably a good thing. Bama probably wins another natty if OSU is left out that year

I think good thing might be subjective...

I think you have the wrong year tho.
2014 they played ISU early. finished with K State. stayed 5. lost bowl fell to 7
Nope...2014 TCU beat the ever loving shit out of Ole Miss in their bowl game that year.

And it was Karma.

While Artie boy was whining about being left out of the CFP, his Bears proceeded to get whipped by Sparty in their bowl game.

Didn't hear much from TCU after selection. They just went to Atlanta and played football.

12 teams is dumb. If you expand, go to 8.
I'm not a fan of byes either, but I do like the idea of playing 1st round games at the higher seeds home field. Hell, I'd even go for the first two rounds at home fields. Fuck the bowls. Leave 'em for the other 118.

You can still do home games with an 8 team playoff.

12 teams is more football. More football isn’t dumb.
12 teams is the same amount of football. It's not like those additional 4 teams wouldn't be playing a game otherwise.

No it's not. It's 'more football'.

Basically they'll add the NY6 bowls into the play-off formula. Instead of the winner of the NY6 bowls season being over, that winner will play at least one more game against another NY6 bowl winner.

the thing i dont like about on campus games for first round is the loser has a good season and gets rewarded with a game on a campus as opposed to a bowl.

Ahh, no it’s not. It’s more football.
Let’s start with the assumption that 20 teams are in bowl games (yes I know it’s more but it doesn’t change the difference). A 12 team playoff would have 4 opening round games, 4 second round, 2 semis, 1 finals. The other 8 non playoff teams play 4 bowl games. That’s 15 games total.

8 team playoff = 4 opening round, 2 semis, 1 finals. The 12 non playoff teams would play 6 bowl games. That’s 13 games.

So yes, 12 team playoffs is more football.

I guess whatever can help WVU/Nebraska sneak into a bowl game.

LOL.... Distract from your massive failure much? We could have expected nothing less.

However, there hasn't be a change proposed to the 6 win policy to be bowl eligible.
Either WVU or Nebraska is getting into the original 41 bowl games (minus the current 3 bowl game playoff).

You literally doubled down on your maffs stupidity in that there "won't be more games".

Getting a bit salty, aren't you?

Have you prepared the lubricant for tomorrow when OU bends you over?

Just fess up that you don't have the basic understanding that more teams in a play-off = more games.

Not sure I understand what you are getting at unless you mean lower ranked team instead of "loser" per se. The loser of the first round doesn't get rewarded with anything....other than making the playoffs. Teams 9-12 have to play on a campus the first round but they aren't the losers...unless they lose the last game of their season and still qualify.

what i mean is take 2019 for example Penn State gets rewarded for a 10-2 season by going to Baylor or Baylor is rewarded for 11-2 by hosting Penn state.
the loser is done. thats it.
on the other hand Penn State played in the Cotton Bowl.
Baylor played in the Sugar bowl.
