He was thinking he had 3 or 4 years to get the Barn turned around.

FWIW, the mic shadows are unfortunate for old Hugh ...

"I don't know the answer" followed by "I don't know that's accurate" is an interesting approach.
You know he was sitting thinking "I have about 3-4 years to get this thing turned around before the maniacs here come at me with the pitchforks." Then he had an "oh, shit" moment, they will be expecting to be in the NC game in year 2. In his defense, he has a better chance because he will just have to be top 12.

Pffft...he knew. That's an old coaches' trick. "I'm not well versed on what other coaches have done, because I only care about what my own team is doing"

Unless you’re Ryan Day, then you get butthurt and cry on national television over what a 90 year old Lou Holtz had to say

Harsin killed the program there are only two kids left that he recruited. It’s like self imposed sanctions.

It’s going to be 3 to 4 years and most everyone I know agrees. To be honest just a decent QB would make a huge difference this year.

You are not being fair to Harsin. Your administration and your big-hitter alumni got you where you are now. You made a bad hire, you then compounded it by trying to run him off. He may not have been a good coach, but we will never know. He was dead before he moved to Auburn.

When Holtz was spot on accurate, no less.
EXACTLY. @Across The Field will tell you until he is maize and blue (see what i did there) in the face -- Ohio State is as physical as any team in CFB and the reason OSU brought the house almost every down against UM last year had NOTHING to do with the fact, the coaching staff didn't trust their defensive front to hold up to Michigan's physicality up front (like they couldn't in 2021).

Holtz was spot on. I'm thinking that is why Ryan Day was butt hurt over the comments. Like I tell @Across The Field, sometimes the truth hurts.

OSU had a national championship offense the last two years and ended each year with nothing, because their defense couldn't handle opposing teams playing physical with them. Look what players like Stroud is doing in the NFL, like Garrett Wilson, like Chris Olave, the list goes on and on. It is a shame for OSU faithful their defenses have been so soft. They wasted the best offense in CFB two years running.

Dude I'm not reading all this, but you are very creepy with this obsession you have with me.

No obsession, just enjoy laughing at how delusional you are about Ohio State football and pointing out how national pundits and the rest of this board say the exact same thing as I have said.

I'm certain you believe that they do.

I don't have to believe it. They have flat out said it. Or did you ignore the temper tantrum Ryan Day had after the ND trying to convince everyone OSU is physical?
You mean when Day responded to being called out by name after an extremely physical win on the road vs. a top 10 team?

That’s a honey start packing, the for sale signs are coming sooner than I thought moment.

He knows Lou was right but he thinks this win proves he was wrong....it doesn't. It actually highlights the statement when they barely eked out a win in the closing second of the game.

I mean he acts like his team shut them out...calling out a critic as he has.

Newsflash -- The ENTIRE SPORTS WORLD OUTSIDE OF OHIO say the exact same thing about Ryan Day and OSU that Holtz said.

My favorite part of Ryan Day's tantrum -- he had the audacity of saying OSU's team has only played one bad half in his entire time coaching the team. 2021 2nd half against Michigan. I don't know how he was able to say that with a straight face. :pound:

I was thinking “I don’t know, do your own research.” Followed by answer, followed by “I don’t know that that’s accurate” really narrows down what kind of person he is.
