Don‘t take this as defending ANYONE but the Harsin hire was on Greene the AD as he went rogue and there wasn’t anything could do because he refused to change his mind.

Now the boosters acted horrifically by slandering Harsin in a shameless attempt to get rid of him so they are shitbirds as well.

However Harsin shouldn’t have gotten the job, would never have been successful and we just have to ride this out.

It’s true he was dead before the plane landed though and Greene wrote his walking papers that day also.

When you have to announce to the world you are a physical team -- It is safe to say, you are not a physical team. Especially when you have struggled IMMENSELY against other top teams that actually play physical.

But Ryan Day and OSU fans will tell you they are a physical team :facepalm:

If Holtz called out Harbaugh by name and said his team was gonna lose at ND because they weren't tough and you pulled off a win and Harbaugh said the same thing right after the game, you'd fucking love it. The fact you're acting like an obsessed idiot about Day saying what he said but think it's cool that Harbaugh has sleepovers with teenage boys says everything about your credibility on this subject.

Obsessed? Yet you are still talking about something from 8 years ago? Who is obsessed?

Simple fact is -- the ENTIRE WORLD knows OSU struggles against top teams who play physical. Go look at every game OSU has lost in Ryan Day's tenure and you will see the EXACT SAME THING.

And Ryan Day looked like an idiot in the post game interview, just like I said Harbaugh looked like an idiot with his recruiting antics when he first got to UM. Don't confuse me with homer fans, like yourself, I have ZERO ISSUE calling out my team or my coach when it is deserved.

Uhhhhh -- I followed it by saying I readily call out my team.

Look back in 2019, the last time Ohio State beat Michigan on the field and you will find me saying OSU was simply the much better team and Michigan is nowhere near as talented as OSU.

Fast forward 1,300+ days and OSU is STILL more talented than Michigan -- look no further to multitude of 1st and 2nd round NFL draft picks from OSU almost every year. What has changed? OSU, with Day as head coach, has struggled with physical teams that punch them in the mouth. The ONLY people who don't see this is......................................OSU fans with blinders on. OSU has had the best offense in college football the last two years. How did that turn out? Why didn't it work out? You tell me. :shrug:

OSU's defense looks better than the last couple years, but that was a bad look from Day. Screaming Ohio vs everybody is pretty humorous, as if everyone is out to pick on Ohio for some unknown reason.

What has changed is terrible defensive coaching choices in 2020/2021 which led to a massive overhaul last year, resulting in a disjointed defense filled with kids who were on their 3rd DC in 3 years running a scheme they'd never played in before. I've frequently criticized OSU's defense over the last few years and they have been horrible, probably costing us a NC. As you said, it looks much better this year so I'm cautiously optimistic.

After watching the ND game -- the thing OSU looked improved on is limiting damage. That being said -- ND still ran the ball 34 times for 179 yards (when you take away the QB sacks). So with Michigan having a better offensive line and multiple better running backs than ND -- I have a feeling we will see the exact same strategy OSU used last year, where they sell out to try to stop the run, as they won't trust their defensive front to hold up.

The secondary looked improved though, but they weren't put in positions where they were on an island all game.

Going to be a fun game to watch. I don't bet on games, but I feel confident this year in UM winning. 2024 though -- OSU gets UM in their house with essentially an entirely new offense and an entirely new defense for Michigan -- So I think OSU puts a beating on Michigan in 2024. Only chance UM has is if McCarthy skips the NFL draft or Jadyn Davis (2024 recruit) comes in and plays like an all american. (I think JJ leaves and I think we get a transfer QB and get absolutely waxed in 2024)

Honestly, I'm glad the ND game is out of the way and michigan isn't for 2 more months. We definitely have some things to clean up offensively, but overall we moved the ball well and I was extremely impressed with McCord under the lights.

In watching both michigan & ND play this year, I feel like there are a lot of similarities. ND's offensive line is absolutely stout, I'm not sure there's a drop from michigan's. While you do have more options running the ball, Estime had been essentially a human wrecking ball all year long and we held him to 5 ypc when he had been averaging 8.3. Think about this - we gave up 5.2 YPC to ND, and they still average over half a yard more per carry and 30+ more YPG than michigan right now, so I'm not sure that's quite a dig at OSU nor is it a sign of us playing worse vs. michigan. ND has also played a significantly harder schedule. I'd also have Hartman obviously above JJ in terms of QB play, which isn't even a dig at JJ - Hartman had just been that good. He had his worst game Saturday since the 2020 season in terms of yards/TD production. Overall, considering we've faced two top-20 QBs the past 2 games in terms of yards and TDs, I'm very happy. The DBs are coming along (and by that I mean we have a bunch of guys that weren't on the team or didn't play much last year now playing).

I think it'll be a fun game too. Right now, gun to my head, I'd probably say you guys will win, and I'd probably even say michigan -7.5, but there's a lot of football left to be played.

The team has not looked good against top opponents except GA. They honestly got lucky vs. Utah and shat the bed vs. MI the last 2 years. They deserved the criticism.

They went into Happy Valley last year and beat a top 10 PSU team by 2 TDs. Also throttled a top 10 MSU team in 2021 by 49.

i don't put much into teams stats right now, like facing top 20 QB's or what a player has averaged per carry, as the OOC slate is usually just scrimmages for these teams against vastly overmatched teams.

The defensive backfield looks improved for OSU but I honestly can't speak too much, as I've missed quite a bit of football as my kid has had baseball on saturday's. Hell -- I didn't even make it thru the ND/OSU game, so I didn't get to see much of the 2nd half.

The only thing I was interested in seeing with the ND game is how ND ran the ball -- that will be the key to Michigan/OSU game. Seeing ND run the ball like they did on OSU makes me think OSU will use the same defensive strategy as last year and bring the house. I like that UM got to see it last year.

I'm confident this year in the UM/OSU game with it being at home and with all the starters we returned. I'm DREADING 2024 in Columbus. I think UM get absolutely hammered and OSU will take out alot of frustrations on us. Michigan loses like 18 starters at the end of this year. I can see OSU not only beating UM, but keeping the foot on the gas when they are up big.

That's what I have tried to say to @Across The Field. The top teams have the talent and physicality -- those are the teams who OSU have struggled against. Nothing Holtz said was wrong, it just came off badly because he is a former ND coach and that was who OSU was going to be playing.

Hands down -- OSU has had the best offense in college football the last two years. Look at what Wilson has done with the Jets in the NFL. Look what Olave has done with Saints in the NFL. Look what Stroud has looked like for the Texans. Add in all the OL that are now in the NFL, add in Marvin Harrison Jr, etc.

I'm a die hard UM fan and I readily admit, OSU has had WAAAAY more talent than UM and continue to have more talent than UM. UM was simply more physical and tougher than OSU the last couple years. There will be times where being more physical and tougher isn't enough, as talent trumps all. Next year we will see that, I believe. Michigan could be tougher and more physical, but I think OSU puts an ass beating on UM next year. We'd need a superstar QB to enter the portal, because if McCarthy leaves, we are bare.
