Luka to Lakers for AD

What I see happening is Dallas is good enough to make the WCF, but doesn't have the depth to win a long playoff run.
I think Lebron takes Luka under his wing and teaches him how to eat and take care of himself, how to be a professional. Since it is Lebron and since Luka is likely pissed about this, he will actually listen finally. That rededication and Luka being on the Lakers, the media will love him and he will win multiple league MVP's now.

I get the not wanting to pay Luka $350m to break down because he doesn't take the game serious. He's always just shown up and been the best, doesn't know how to take the next step. So the rigors of long NBA seasons will wear him down.

My issue is if they shop him then they get a LOT more in return. Nico must love AD, I get that. But we could have restocked our entire draft pool for the next decade if Luka is put on an open trade market.

He is dominant and Dallas will allow him to be a 4, which is what he wants. But he is a really large 31 year old, meaning a lot of wear on those knees and joints. But unlike previous star trades to Dallas, AD wants to be here so that's a positive.

Just heard he is out. Sounds like Dallas is mailing this one in today. Kyrie, Gifford, and PJ are all getting rest. Lively already out.

This would have never happened if Cuban was in charge. He is just a minority owner now with "input."

@fordman84 the Mavs could benefit from flipping Lively and Marshall for a really good experienced 3 and D wing.

That would help a lot.

I'd say no chance Lively leaves, but who knows. I think Nico is too high on him. I like our defense now.

True, Cuban is a players owner. He wants to be best friends with the players, he's a nerd that needs to buy his famous friends.

I live just outside of Dallas and have many Mavericks friends - yes they are all pissed
