Mid Major Thread

Are they a lock if they take on a really bad loss?

The mid majors have been really under the radar this year, bubble is dominated by mediocre Power teams.

A-10 having a really bad year, they should bounce back next year

I think FAU could probably afford 2 losses and still make it. Meaning split their last two and lose in the SF of the league tournament. They have a really strong resume.

I think North Texas has an outside shot

I think they would have had a chance if they didn't lose to Charlotte and made it to the final and lost to FAU again. I can't see a 7 loss UNT get selected. I do hope someone else wins the tournament and they get 2 bids. It's been a really strong year for CUSA.

My Miners didn’t do anything to help the strength. Quite the opposite…we probably it down.

In what world should Timme have to share this with anyone?

@ericd7633 where are you seeing Drake as a seed? 11 or 12?

That's a scary team for a 5 or a 6

They are probably going to be a 12. They are going to be a very tough out though. 12 seeds are going to be very good this year.

FAU takes a horrible loss to Bryant. Bryant’ was 0-3 against D1 teams entering the game with losses to Manhattan Rutgers and Boston U

Remember when people were talking about St Marys winning the conference from Gonzaga this year? And Mahaney being a All American?

Yeah, they might wanna find a way to just make the tournament...

Here’s one for the books. Heard this from a friend of mine back in EP.

UTEP leads the nation in forced turnovers with one about every four possessions. BUT, they turn it over on offense nearly 23% of the time. No wonder we are about .500!

Yes we beat sdsu 67-66

Mid majors are tearing it up this year.

Should make for an interesting tourney.

A-10 tore it up OOC but only has one team in.

Dayton is killing it. St. Joes had a pretty good OOC. But has taken on too many league losses already. Richmond might be able to play themselves into position, but they've gotta beat Dayton, I'd presume. If they can get to something like 24-7(16-2) and make it to the conference final, they'd be a 26-win A-10 team. That'd be tough to leave out.

MWC could be a 6 bid league.
And then depending on if teams like Princeton, Indiana State, Grand Canyon, etc lose in their tournament that could leave those conferences with multiple bids. I also think the AAC could potentially get 3 because FAU and Memphis have put themselves in position to get an at-large, but both are beatable.
