More Michigan Cheating

You're comparing apples and oranges. Teams have exchanged notes for decades, dude. For someone who talks down to everyone about "knowing ball", you really should know that.

WhoPhoneDid has literally stated that dozens of times in this thread.

All of the sudden it no longer meets his/her narrative.

Notice they officially still have not once denied the allegations. They just claim "no one knew" what Stallions was doing. Seems they know the guilt is there but are hoping they can get away with it based on the "rogue staffer" theory and "LOOK WHAT EVERYONE ELSE DOES THOUGH!" spinning.

Stalions atty even admitted the wrong doing.

They absolutely can investigate evidence for the case and that is exactly what the text messages and contact between OSU, Purdue and Rutgers would fall under, evidence that this was common place in the B1G. Why do you think Michigan hired the #1 investigative law firm in the US? If there is a way for them to get their hands on evidence -- they will have the resources to get it done.

As the resident lawyer doggy said -- the case will come down to the facts -- if OSU, Purdue and Rutgers hands are clean -- they have nothing to worry about. IF they did it though -- they are guilty of the exact same 'integrity of competition' as Michigan. Meaning OSU, Purdue and Rutgers will be facing punishment.

Last thing you want to do in CFB is open a can of worms like this, as I don't care how "clean" you think your program is -- it isn't clean. No one is. These people are getting paid millions to win at a kid's game -- they are going to bend rules, look the other way and do whatever they can to get ahead.

please explain how OSU potentially committing a lesser offense means Michigan faces a lesser punishment

It's like saying someone robbed a pharmacy so it's okay I murdered someone.

They can present what other teams did all they want (provided it remotely applies) it doesn't change the scope of what Michigan did.

Just so I have this straight. Physically giving a team the signs of an opponent you have played already is fine. But videoing a teams signals with the hopes of deciphering is bad.

That makes sense to you?

I'm going out on a limb and saying giving the signs to a team you've already played is against the 'integrity of competition' clause.

You mention apples to oranges and then try to compare giving a team signs to trading game tapes:facepalm:

Michigan is getting punished no matter what.

IF it is true about giving the signs to Purdue. OSU, Rutgers and Purdue will end up punished too.

cool?

Maybe?

we have yet to see that that is strictly prohibited. And I imagine that did so out of aggravation with Michigan's practices.

Regardless it would be stupid of OSU to participate in it

I saw a comparison that was pretty spot on. Even if OSU and Rutgers did what they did (which is something that happens in every conference every year in college football), it'd be like someone taking a math test and telling a friend about some of the questions on it before they take it later that day. What michigan did was sneaking into the teacher's desk when nobody was watching and taking pictures of the test so they'd know all the questions on it and memorizing the answers before taking it.
Just so I have this right. It is fine if someone texts you all the answers to the test, but if you get them yourself. It is way different

you have zero idea if you have the context of this correct.

Regardless we are speaking on one game versus 2 and a half seasons.

Luckily for OSU, the athletics dept is usually in constant communications with the compliance dept. So things like this are usually self reported and not hidden. And if anything was a violation, again the university would self impose and not be a bunch of sneaky and whiny bitches because they are a bunch of cheating entitled cvnts.

Teams exchange game films. Exchanging game film and giving teams a complete breakdown of all the signs a team used after you play them is way different.

The fact that needs to be explained is quite telling.

Yes -- Ohio State is the poster child for clean run programs. :pound: It is impressive you were able to type that without breaking out in laughter

Do you have a link to a specific NCAA rule that makes it illegal?

At this point there's been no evidence it actually happened anyway.
