More Michigan Cheating

When we played UM in the Orange Bowl, here is how we scouted them ... we knew they were going to run the damn ball, so we stopped that shit - 29 yards. We should be investigated for videoing that ... I am ashamed.

We are obviously going around in circles here with maze&blew.

There is facial recognition technology that can find a face in huge crowds of people. It's used to catch criminals.

Someone may have been suspicious of a "fan" zooming in on individuals who's job it is to send in play signals. Notified their teams athletic department, who notified the NCAA, who requested future stadiums to use said technology.

Imagine that. The same guy (or two guys) at every Michigan future opponents game doing the same thing.

I guarantee that didn’t happen. Your theory is absurd.

They can use facial recognition to determine if he's been in the stands of future Michigan opponents.

This can’t be a serious post.

Welcome to modern technology.

This is turning into a spy vs. spy espionage thriller.

Jim Harbaugh hires an ex-military intelligence officer.

Ryan Day hunts down the officer with an ex-FBI investigator.

Throw in facial recognition technology and the enhance trope.

Can't wait to see the movie come out on Netflix.

I’m very well aware that facial recognition exists. No. The ncaa can’t use it to see if a random person was at a game.

And you know this how?

Said person would NOT be "random". They would be part of an investigation.
For so many reasons. And the person they are searching at the program is already known.

LOL. Yet you specify NONE.
The low hanging fruit is that the detail of image required for facial recognition to work in any meaningful way is not something that's happening at random college football games.

NCAA: "Dear (fill in the blank university). We've become suspicious that a future opponent of yours has been sending their personnel to games to record sideline signals in violation of NCAA rules. We're requesting any video of your stands during home games. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter."

University: "Here ya go".

If you don't think the crowd at college venues are being recorded by said universities, then you're very ignorant.

It's how they ban fans who throw things on the field, are being disruptive, etc.

It has nothing to do with the willingness of Universities handing over video. The video that they have is not something yo ucan simply run facial recognition software on, nor is that something the NCAA likely has access to on that scale.

Having crowd shots and having the level of detail of the entire crowd needed to run facial recognition are two very different things.

It absolutely is, dumbass.

Any university that thought a future opponent was illegally taping their sideline signals would certainly comply and hand it over to assist in the investigation.

Digital photography is extremely detailed. I'm an amateur nature photographer with a Nikon P900.

The zoom and detail on that camera is amazing. Whether it be still shots or video.

You're an ignorant moron.

This is Michigan fans every time they get caught in wrongdoing, downplay and divert.

And if you used that to zoom in on a specific person could absolutely work. If you used that to take a general crowd shot, it would be almost useless. And that’s absolutely not the same thing as far less detailed video.

We were caught in wrongdoing or just accused? I have yet to see a shred of evidence for anything.
