More Michigan Cheating

Oh I am not. I'm admitting that I don't care either way. I hope we did everything possible to beat Ohio State. I hope we stole the shit out of their signs. I don't care if we stole signs through legal methods or by illegally visiting their games.

What's being accused is that there's evidence Michigan stole signs, which is legal. What there doesn't seem to be evidence of is that Michigan had people on campuses for the purpose of illegal scouting and sign stealing.

But no matter how this turns out, I do not care. Because the core of the allegation is about sign stealing. Which is legal. As discussed yesterday, the semantics and dumb rules about how the sign stealing information is gathered doesn't matter to me.

The fact that this broke on OSU forums, the claim was "vast network of spies" and now is "low level staffer with military grade gear" is hilarious to me. Tells me everything I need to know about how much Harbaugh has ruined that program. We know where this attack is coming from.
C'mon, man ... really. You are okay with the alleged cheating so long as you win? Look, I get that all programs stretch the rules. But you can't be happy to know that happened.

Here is what you wrote:

Here are two different examples of me saying the NCAA can fuck off in regards to other teams "violations"

And your citation was to a troll article that breathlessly said that news was coming out of Athens when nothing came out of Athens.

Pruitt, on the other hand ...

BTW, and FWIW, we played you when this was going on and I don't really care from a competitive perspective. I think our coaches assume that the other team is stealing signals, so it's up to them to neutralize it. We use a little wrist card thing and they use some code to send in. That probably negates what you can do. And, I am guessing we have staff in the box trying to figure out your signals.

I am also an "innocent before proven guilty" guy, and it's the NCAA. So, I will wait and see.
When I said that the validity of the claim against UGA was still in question. Fuck the NCAA because they're going after trivial shit these days because they've lost all regulatory power to congress, states and TV networks.

However, you've spent 16 pages stating whatever they did was not illegal.
No I didn't. I spent 16 pages saying that sign stealing is legal. Michigan is accused of in person scouting.

You wouldn't even need that. Sideline + scoreboard time would do everything you needed to see. That could be matched up with video later. It wouldn't be obvious at all, especially in a wider shot.

I clearly said "zooming in" (every time) on the future opponents individual sending in the play signal.

If I'm going to guess, if Michigan broke the rules here it was a stretch of the rules. IE having someone not affiliated with the team or program sending in tape. I have a hard time believing we sent someone affiliated, on payroll or as a student assistant, physically to games.

So you're saying if you did the most obvious thing ever, dressed in michigan gear, zoomed in only on signs and made no attempt to cover up what you're doing, someone may have noticed....got it. Seems likely that's exactly what happened....

Sounds like more assumptions and excuses. Since you dont actually know what happened.

Therefore, per the rules it was illegal.

It's the METHOD of stealing that makes sign stealing illegal.

i.e. Sending a scout to a future opponents game to record sideline signals, the formation, and the play run.

No one does. There isn't a shred of evidence against Michigan at this point. I'm basing this on how Harbaugh has scooted the rules in previous topics before.

What part of me saying "It doesn't matter what the individual was wearing" did you miss?

The rules should not apply to Michigan!

But that’s not actually the rule. Because then by rule any tape recorded of the event, including broadcasts, would be illegal to use.

But you made the assumption it was not someone on payroll. What you do know is Harbaugh will break the rules if he thinks they are wrong and doesnt like them.

Thats just more of a guess than an assumption. Because I don’t think any coach is dumb enough to send payrolled staff to opponents games.

The "It shouldn't be a rule anyway so who cares if they break it!" attitude is astonishing from the "MICHIGAN ONLY PLAYS WITH HONOR AND INTEGRITY!" crowd.

So just to be clear. The guy they’re accusing of going to games to scout in person is seen here during games on Michigans sideline….and this helps the case? Shouldn’t football analysts be on sidelines?
