More Michigan Cheating

And even without costs, doesn't anyone notice that a member of the staff (even scouting staff) who is never around on game day?

Stalions was on the sidelines for the Michigan games. He was in the ears of the OC, DC, and even Harbaugh himself telling them exactly what their opponents were gonna do from play to play on O and D.

That's why he had to send friends and family to future Michigan opponents games (on the same day) to record their sidelines for him.

He was on the Central Michigan sideline in-person scouting/recording Michigan State himself because that game was on Sept 1st and the East Carolina @ Michigan game was on Sept 2nd.
The drive from Ann Arbor to East Lansing is just an hour each way, and game time is 3 - 4 hrs. So 6 hours?
There were 18 hrs between the two games.

Well that's why he hired his friends to do it, so he could be calling out every single play to the coordinator in real time. The poker analogy is pretty spot on.

If you don't keep your team ready to play and the other team does - forfeit.

Now this signs stealing ... appears to be bullshit and whining.
The NCAA does not see it that way and neither does the mi AD.

I haven't watched it, but didn't he claim in the documentary that he was paying his own money to go to those other games where he "wasn't stealing signs"? I can see that once or twice a season when you have a bye or going to see a team playing on a different day from UM, but I'm hearing upwards of 50+ games were scouted. So either he wasn't paying for himself (but he was paying for others) or he had to have missed some games. Maybe he was just on the sidelines against the opponents he scouted and didn't show for games against teams UM would easily beat.

Don't get it mistaken. The reason I'm here posting is because I enjoy calling you a dumbass. I've made fun of this situation the entire time. Whether that be Michigan, the accusations, or anything else. But most recently, to call you a dumbass.
You can try to hide the fact it pains you to no end that you had to watch Michigan win the national title, but we know better. It only makes your ND program look even more ancient as they haven't won a title since 1988.

There is room on the bandwagon -- Jump on board.

It is unfortunate for Nebraska fans, as you have an unbelievable fan base. If you don't have a base of players in your home state or surrounding states to pull from -- you are at an ENORMOUS disadvantage.

NIL can change that -- so it isn't impossible, but in the super conferences now, to go along with the expanded playoff -- a lot of teams will probably not sniff a national title again. I say this and put my school in the same boat and we just won the title.

I love how much it irks every fan on this site that Michigan won the National Championship last year -- so much so that a thread that should have died long ago is STILL going.

College football is starting and THE national champion Michigan Wolverines are still at the top of everyone's head. To the fans who are dragging this thread along -- don't sweat it -- someday you may win another national title too. Well, maybe not Nebraska, but Ohio Soft and Notre Dame have legit shots.

Good luck this year to all.
A normal fan would be embarrassed that the HC and others have been suspended so often and for so long at their school. But you guys wanted to win at all costs. Congrats. UM really had the whole Michigan Man thing going strong, and now your program is simply a joke to serious football fans. Again, congrats.

Only poor schools aren't "buying" players. A&M did nothing wrong, we were just the first to figure out the NIL rules and exploit them. Now everyone is doing it. Except the poor schools.
A&M figured out that paying millions to high school recruits assures you nothing but headaches in your locker room and issues on the team.

All those high priced recruits you bought are laughing all the way to bank and many of them on to other teams.

Quite a few schools are doing it the right way -- give a base payment to every player who signs and help the kids with NIL deals while they are in school. If you give a high school kid "x amount of money" -- what do you think the guy who is starting in front of him is going to ask for? You will have all your starters with their hand out saying, where is my money now.

To be fair, that could be done on any modern laptop in a few minutes. Might be lunacy but it's also not difficult. Also not sure how you can say he "stumbled into sign stealing" when all along we've been told his military experience led him to get his job stealing signs.
Yeah, I have wondered why people all think that's a big deal. I could go online right now and hire someone in India to do that for me at $3/hour.

I use a program called Batchgeo for work. You literally just input a spread sheet and in 10 seconds you have a beautifully laid out map with all of the details of whatever data it was you entered. This isn't impressive.

Just stop. Coming from the fan of program who is at the top of players getting arrested, spare me the "embarrassed" talk. What did you have? 9 players arrested and 2 deaths in the year following your last title. Get off the soap box and just be thankful you didn't have to play Michigan last year. and thank us for doing what you could not do. You are welcome.

I'd like to challenge anyone who thinks knowing exactly what your opponent has up their sleeve is of "no advantage" to play a game of poker for money with me, but you have to show me all of your cards every hand since it's of "no advantage"
Ohio Soft knew exactly what Michigan was going to do the last 3 years and they still ran for 700+ yards and 12 touchdowns??!?!

I don't know about the stumbled into sign stealing -- I've always heard he worked on code breaking in the military and that is why he was hired. I haven't watched the documentary, so no clue if that is true or not, just what i had heard.

Yeah I thought the same thing, like that's what it was he brought to the table. Otherwise his part on the team never would've made any sense.

wrong metaphor, the one you are looking for refers to rodents on a less-than-seaworthy ship.

It is the right metaphor I used. Michigan isn't going anywhere. It is funny to hear a fan of school call someone a sinking ship, when they shelled out $75+ million to fire a coach, after shelling out millions and millions for recruiting classes, while falling flat on their face.

But hey -- you will always have the 9 win COVID year -- disregard the fact you average 5 losses a year over the last decade. Maybe you are right -- you can't really sink, when you are that close to the bottom.

See, that's the difference between me and you—I am actually embarrassed by our players' speeding and driving problems. And the two really don't compare, as every team has knuckleheads. You, on the other hand, are an embarrassment in that you don't think cheating is a problem and are proud of your tainted NC. Congrats.

And you shouldn't throw stones living in a glass house ... I doubt even human trafficking will embarrass you guys.

Don't forget this too

Frank Clark - arrested for and pleaded guilty to FELONY HOME INVASION, only suspended for ONE WEEK!. They finally had to kick him off the team a bit later when he got arrested for Domestic Assault.

2012 was a golden year for Michigan

Clark joins a growing list of Michigan football players who have been arrested and charged with crimes in 2012, including starting running back Fitzgerald Toussaint (DUI), former receiver Darryl Stonum (dismissed from the team after violating probation stemming from his second drunken driving arrest), receiver Jerald Robinson (misdemeanor destruction of property) and starting defensive tackle William Campbell (misdemeanor destruction of property).
