Next Nebraska Head Coach

3. Matt Campbell, He should have left Ames already, he has taken them about as far as he can and has done a great job building their program, IMHO he'd be a terror at Nebraska.
100% disagree. He can take ISU farther than he has, but he has to change his stubbornness first. He is loyal to a fault with his staff which is good in one regard, but not in building a consistant championship program like some places think they will get if they hire him.

If he left ISU after 2020 for supposed greener pastures, he would have insisted on taking his current staff, and that caca just would not fly at the so-called better places. Heacock (DC), yes. Manning (OC), no.

He may or may not make it much longer at ISU. I hope he does. He may or may not leave ISU for somewhere else. I hope he doesn't. However, he will not be anything more than he currently was at ISU in 2020 unless he makes serious changes such as hiring a dynamic OC (and not getting totally involved like he does) and hiring a special teams coach among other things. He also starts slowly every single year with a very vanilla outlook trying to peak at the end of the year. Once again, that's good at ISU, but Auburn, Nebraska, etc. are not going to put up with that crap.

Just saying, his issue is not where he is located. He has the best defense in the Big Xii, and he has one of the best wide receivers in the country. He had a loaded team last year with the skill position players all getting NFL pay checks this year along with this same defense and sputtered to (7-6) with the same issues as this year.

This year with less offensive talent, his team is sitting at the bottom of the Big Xii with 5 nut crunching one possesion losses instead of in 3rd-4th place like last year. He doesn't have as good of offensive players as last year, and he has been fighting injuries this year, but he needs to change his coaching philosophy if he wants to go to some bigger place and win more. He could win bigger in Ames TOO if he would just change a few things that he doesn't want to change. He has some sould searchig to do this off-season whether he stays in Ames or goes elsewhere.

Just my onion as a four year season ticket holder during his tenure. I love what the man has done at Iowa State, and he can stay as long as he wants. However, at some point, he will have to face some decisions if he wants to win more either in Ames, Lincoln, Auburn, etc. because the current MC Way would not be successful in those bigger places, and I think he knows that.

Going to be a grumpy week here in Central Iowa! One more home game on Saturday vs. TT. Haven't decided if I am going or not. I want to see X one more time, but I don't want to freeze my ass off and see the Red Raiders (0-4) win for the first time in my life!

Other than Meyer/Saban type guys they're all a gamble.

I'd like to see Jamey Chadwell given a chance. He's 45 y/o and has 13 years HC experience.
He looks to be on his way to a 3rd double digit win season in a row.

He has a balanced offense this season, but his teams have had good rushing stats in years prior.
You have to run the ball to have success in the Big 10.

Coastal Carolina Rushing Offense

Cause, you know how millionaires be going to the barber shop.

Sean Callahan and Steve Sipple are throwing around the name Jeff Traylor UTSA Head Coach with a 27-9 record.

3 years as a HC?

Looks like another Scott Frost.

bro... let @Codaxx tell you... so many UT fans want to scrap Sark with him NOW.. they think he's the real deal.. and he probably is tbh.. but it still wouldn't work in Austin lol. As for Nebraska, guy can coach and recruit

I want a guy who's proven to be consistent at putting the pieces together, getting guys lined up right, and competing for division titles.

Do that and the recruiting will follow.

UTSA

2019: 4-8 (Frank Wilson)
2020: 7-5 (Jeff Traylor)
2021: 12-2 (Jeff Traylor)

2022: 8-2 (Jeff Traylor)

Not "Proven".

How do you think Frost would have done with a 3rd year (2018) at UCF?

2015: 0-12 (George O'Leary)
2016: 6-7 (Scott Frost)
2017: 13-0 (Scott Frost)

2018: 12-1 (Josh Heupel)
