PAC-12 earliest return date mid to late November per ESPN source

PAC's return depends greatly on the B1G's return. At the absolute best case scenario, meaning at least some states allow actual practices again, the earliest is late November.

My gut tells me if the B1G actually returns to play in mid October, the PAC chances of playing Fall are done. First it would not make any sense, what the hell is the difference between starting mid October with the B1G and late November? (Well I know Nov. 3rd), but really, PAC already has all the testing in place and is capable of doing rapid testing, it would make zero sense to start that late if everyone else is playing already.

Once you even get a thought of playing, you have to overcome the politics of it all. Which will likely be much less restricted after November 3rd, so you might get them to loosen up and allow practicing, but then you run into needing 3 weeks or so, and suddenly you're in December playing games while everyone else is wrapping their seasons up. So what's the point?

Spring won't happen if you're the only conference playing.

Bottom line, if the B1G decides to play mid October, the PAC is likely screwed in having any sort of football season this year. Our best chance is trying to get the B1G to join us in starting late November.

I spoke with Ana Mari Cauci (UW President) last night via Facebook and she told me the Cal schools would still have to get the go ahead from the Governor and LA mayor in order to practice. I asked her how the NFL and NBA teams located in Cali manage and she said she'd have to check into it. I was thinking 'wtf lady'.

The NFL teams have an exemption. The schools would have to apply for the same exemption.

How is the PAC ruining it for the BIG?? BIG was the first to cancel, then the PAC followed suit. Thought BIG was leaders/legends.. Even if you play just a conference schedule, it beats not having any games at all.
I am viewing it as the B1G made a decision, PAC followed. Now the PAC is attempting to 'lead the way' to return and it won't work with the rest of the CFB world.

@dbldwn711 we need a ruling whether it's worse to have Handi or Peter on your ass.

Feel free to take that comment however you wish to.

@Peter Gozintite is part of The Crew. That means @Handicappers may push his buttons but he’s always got the back of a fellow Crew member.

AG is a lone wolf. A freelancer if you will. While peter can handle AG he’s not Crew therefore the “on your ass” is more “real”.

I am not now, nor have I ever been, a part of any crew. stop spreading that lie. continue with the various others you spread.

Apologies to the real Pac fans on here but most of the country could care less about the Pac. It is a dying league from a Power 5 perspective. We could replace the Pac12 with the Sunbelt or American and people wouldn't notice any difference.

The Pac has the worst commish of the P5. He's done nothing to promote the schools to the rest of the country.

It looks like I might be moving to Pennsylvania soon. Is it possible to get PAC 12 Network on the East Coast or is that a lost cause?

That maybe some if the reason but the main issue is the lack of general interest in the specific states. You don't see the fan support that you see with the other leagues with the exception of maybe Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

The Pac12 really needs to have USC good again. USC would be smart to throw the bank at Pete Carroll and bring him back.

Just heard an Arizona State fan call in and suggest that if the PAC12 fails to agree on a season, Arizona State and Arizona should put their heads together and come up with some way to play.

Take it a step further, maybe have every rivalry in the conference play late in the season?
