PAC News

UT didn't expect ESPN to offer them $300 million for LHN.. Pac12 would not let them keep it, that was a deal breaker
for texas not sure it was for ESPN

I think it was a deal breaker for ESPN too.. they threw more money at them to keep the Big12 intact and even gave everyone a raise (by paying for 12 schools, even though it would be only 10)..

Couple Things Here, this just means they’ve agreed to a GoR but haven’t signed it yet. They need an adequate TV deal agreed upon before they sign this. But at Least this is something for the PAC to survive instead of the continued silence.

I haven't read the article but I understand that a new revenue sharing model has been agreed upon, similar to the ACC. I wonder about the timing. If this was agreed upon recently, that would be noteworthy IMO. I doubt Colorado would go on record saying they support this and then plan on joining the Big 12 in the next couple of days. It likely means that Colorado is not as close to jumping as people think they are. Unless of course this agreement was made a long time ago and is just being reported on now.

I’m not sure what to believe now, the Az President was on finebaum today and said he has not had any GoR deal to agree too.

This article seems to say the GOR comes first, the deal second. No way. They aren't signing the deal until the GOR. It's why we have a Mexican standoff. No way UW and OU are going to sign a GOR knowing that the next day they might get an offer from the B1G.

I think the agreement was more about how to split the postseason money after a potential deal will be signed. Obviously nobody is signing anything until the deal is presented and approved

Exactly what I stated under the tweet. This is just all a big nothing at this point in time. It’s starting to become more and more apparent they have no deal worth signing.

"We'll sign IF $_______"

(fill in the blank)

Not sure if y’all have heard about this or not but:ranger:… Arizona and Colorado are leaving the PAC..

Big12 goin for flagship universities first, good sound moves. I like what their leadership is doing now TBH.

If, If, If, If.

That tweet doesn't make a lot of sense.

Why wait until the PAC 12 TV deal is finalized? I doubt the PAC 12 gets a TV deal without everyone being onboard a GOR.

This dude hasn’t made a lot of sense and tweets something with the equivalent of throwing shit at a wall hoping it sticks just about every hour.

But I do believe this does reinforce the notion that most of these remaining PAC teams want to stay together instead of going to the B12.

Tweeter is a click show.

Act like you're in the know and see how many 'clicks' and 'shares' you can get.

 It was sarcasm my man, I’m well versed in how the realignment game works. The term used to be “done deal” and then…never did or if it did it was a LONG time after.

However if these moves DO happen, I like what the Big12 is doing. They wont be catching the SEC/BIG in money but they can make it as good as they can to be somewhat competitive.
