Colorado's Patience Has 'Waned' With The PAC-12, Potential Replacement Already Chosen: REPORT

The PAC-12 plans to replace Colorado with San Diego State if the Buffaloes leave for the Big 12. Will the Buffaloes leave?

Basically, the rumors are that Colorado is close to being out and that the PACs contingency plan is San Diego State. Doesn't mention any other schools.

About the time states had or were starting to legalize recreational cannabis, the Broncos and Seahawks played in the Super Bowl. Seemed to be a common denominator for getting there.

Colorado is a much bigger name than San Diego State. I mean if you guys lose USC, UCLA and Colorado and replace them with SDS that is pretty bad.

I think the biggest threat is that if they bolt someone else doesn't also because then it's a big problem.

Perfect example of what I've said for a lot of teams. I said when Mizzou and A&M headed for the SEC, they'd both perform about like they did in the Big 12...and they did for the most part. I'll bet the same will happen with USC and UCLA when they head to the B1G. And I fully expect Texas and Oklahoma to perform in the SEC about like they did in the Big 12 when they leave with one exception. OU ain't getting that many conference titles in a row.

Arizona would be a nice get for the B12 for what Yormark appears to be doing. I doubt they come until/if UO and uDub bolt to the B1G at some point.

Yormark just needs some patience. At some point, UO and UW will be off to the Big Ten and he will have his choice of the PAC leftovers. Same thing with the ACC at a later date.

While I agree 100%, the B12 doesn’t want to look back and say they had a chance to get and then times change and the script is totally flipped. Remember two short years ago when the B12 was done?

The dynamics can change quickly but panic adding schools like UConn or Memphis would be a mistake. Big 12 has a media deal now which brings stability and certainty. The Big 12 is in a strong position because it's unlikely that any of their schools will leave the conference unlike the ACC or PAC. Expansion should only happen to add value IMO. It's not about survival anymore.

FWIW, once the PAC (USC) shot down the idea of expansion, the Big 12 was always going to survive.

They’ve already panicked when they added Houston. Nothing knew for them.

Ohh we 100% agree on the G5’s. There is zero reason to add them until it’s impossible to grab any existing P5’s.

But if there is a chance to add P5’s ya really do all you can to because as stated things can change quickly. And I say that as I’m 100% against adding anyone from the PAC.
