Ohh look Oscar with the irony. Tell us again how Dallas is a minuscule market or how teams can easily tell networks where they'll play neutral site games.

Since media revenue is THE driving force, I don't see how adding the likes of SDSU, Memphis, UNLV, etal to the conference helps. Let's say the networks would add $30 million more to the package. Giving those three all of it but only $10 each doesn't add one damn dime to Iowa State's, Baylor's, Okie Lite's, coffers.

Adding Cincy, Houston, UCF didn't either. BYU "might" have helped.

My guess is the B12 either does: a) add 3 P12 schools, which given the escalator clause in the contract, means no school will lose their share, or b) add Uconn. That would decrease each school's share, but it would get the B12 a huge cbb brand, close to the NYC market, which is something Yormark is going after. You then have to hope Uconn performs better than they did in the AAC, to bring tournament unit revenue to the conference.

No one said Dallas is a miniscule market. TCU/SMU don't deliver the Dallas market.

Taking a decrease in each school’s share in hopes of increased revenue down the road is betting on the come. But, if they are going to be able to even keep the B1G and SEC within sight, they will have to gamble on trying anything. jmo

No they don’t. Both daughters and their families live in the Fort Worth area. In fact neither is even in the top three. Besides the obvious two, DFW has a ton of Texas Tech alumni/fans. I see more vehicles with the Double T stickers on them in FW than I see when I’m in Lubbock!

I wouldn't be surprised if there were more OU fans in Dallas/FW as well.

What if the media deal was worth more overall now that they know 1-11 Colorado isnt in on it?

You've still got 6-7 less games to broadcast. It could be worth more "per team" though.

And before the word salad of saying dAtS NoT WhAt i MeAnT starts, there is no other perceived market besides DFW for a team from DWF.

We just went through this above. TCU does not represent the Dallas/FW market. Texans have confirmed this.

Or you could just admit the DFW market is bigger then what you thought and you under estimated this. It’s ok to say you were mistaken, we’ve all been there.
