Pet peeves

Not a good idea to tune to the 12th fret. The farther up the neck you go, the least accurate your intonation becomes. I could see doing that as a reference to a guitar that's properly tuned but never as the focal point of your tuning.

I've done this when cutting tracks for solos. I've also done it to adjust intonation when setting up new guitars.

Tuning on the 12th doesn't make much sense for onstage tuning, though.

Self Checkout at the grocery store that locks up if it doesn't recognize that the item you just scanned is in the holding area.
People that do not take the extra 20-30 seconds to push their cart to the cart corral.
People that block a lane in the grocery store so they can have a conversation with another grocery shopper. They clearly see you and do not move out of the way. Legit think you should be able to dome them with a can of refried beans and not get in trouble.
Check out clerks that forget to take off the security gadgets attached to items you just purchased.
Speaking of self checkout - people who bring full carts into the self checkout.

When people bring a cartload full to the "15 items of less" lane.

They should be flayed alive and dipped in a vat of lemon juice.

Do they have those lanes anymore? I haven't noticed them (but I usually shop with just a basket, so I never have that much)

There are a few grocery stores around these parts that still have them.

I do enjoy doing the grocery shopping. Especially when I have ear buds in and I'm listening to my music.

People who can't admit to when they've made an error or when they are in the wrong. It's even worse when it's something fairly innocuous and they still can't admit to fault.

People who think they are always right are very annoying to those of us who are.

People who try controlling the music at a party or get together who play absolute shit music nobody has ever heard.

People who try showing you a funny video by somebody on their phone that’s not funny. When they see you’re not as amused they keep trying to show you other videos until they get the reaction they want. But once they get that reaction, they don’t realize it’s fake so they keep showing you more videos. It’s a vicious cycle.

people who make an audible noise when they yawn need to be beaten to death with a medieval-style mace

people who get "cold" way too easily

people who ask redundant/irrelevant questions or make unnecessary comments at the end of workplace meetings, which keep the meeting going when you desperately want it to end. these are usually questions/comments that easily could have been saved for an email AFTER said meeting
