R.I.P Florida - St Pete

They have an Illegal Alien problem. The kind Trump can't solve.

I think he could nuke them also.

Yep, last I looked, from around Ocala southward was like a 60 mile backup.
I evacuated for Irma and I-75 from Wildwood (Turnpike) to Valdosta, GA was the same way and they permitted cars to drive on the shoulder to create a third lane. I got through it but it took a lot longer. The 12 hr drive to Atlanta took close to 20 hrs.

But with the track of this storm you don’t have to go that far to get out of the worst of it. They’re saying go 50-100 miles in either direction and away from the coast and get to a shelter.

Storm won’t hit until tomorrow so if leaving today you can still take US19 and get inland later.

Good luck to anyone in FL or SE USA who can get property insurance coverage after this.

Latest advisory had it at max sustained winds of 155 mph but on radar that eye is looking ragged. Also looking more and more like the eye will pass south of Tampa Bay so places further south will get the worst storm surge.

Some of the bigger bands are starting to come onshore now.

I watched a documentary on the History Channel about that aircraft. It's a fucking beast!

NOAA is actually changing over to the C-130 Hercules which the USAF 53rd Weather Recon 'Hurricane Hunters' have been using for decades.
