I may be mistaken, but I think even with the robots, there still is a home plate ump.Robots don’t get hurt by broken bats.
To start with. They’ll be phased out as the technology improvesI may be mistaken, but I think even with the robots, there still is a home plate ump.

Wouldn’t make me uncomfortable. I don’t consider Dodger players or fans to be people.I wasn't alive when Steve Yeager was impaled and it made me uncomfortable just thinking about it every time I would read about it. Anyone remember it?

But wasn’t there an NHL player that nearly bled out on the ice after getting a neck artery severed by another player’s skate?

You were humanizing a Dodger, man.I mean, I don't think I get uncomfortable because I am sad for Steve or sympathizing with Dodgers or their fans![]()

There was a hockey player who died on the bench and still tried to play in the game.Wouldn’t make me uncomfortable. I don’t consider Dodger players or fans to be people.

Yep, that one I had to watch. Clint Malarchuk.
It takes a lot to make me queasy. Blood and broken bones don’t really bother me. Even though you top levels of auto racing are more safe now than they’ve ever been, when a car bursts into flames it always makes my heart drop until I see the driver get out. The cars are designed to protect the drivers from hard impacts now, but flames surrounding a strapped in driver scare the hell out of meI don’t recall ever hearing about the Dodgers catcher before, also just before my time of awareness.
But, I do recall Malarchuk. Shocking. I don’t get too shaken about most injuries I’ve seen on the field of play, Theisman, Willis McGahee, etc.
But, this one was gruesome and shocking. About the closest we will ever be to a slasher film playing out in game.
Oh, I can hurt a robot with a broken bat. Believe you me.Robots don’t get hurt by broken bats.
Prove it.Oh, I can hurt a robot with a broken bat. Believe you me.
