Would you rather have:
A. 2568 hits and batted .400 in a single (qualified) season.
B. 3004 hits and career average .286

Gotta go with A, no doubt!

Assuming OP just flubbed the question again, I'll say .400 in a season.

I’m going with 3k hits for a career. Much like the other poll, it probably means you played longer and made more money

All of my hits were home runs, so I’m killing it on endorsements. Even got my picture on a Bud Light can.

All of my hits were triples, and triples are more rare and therefore better than home runs
Sam Crawford agrees with you

In fairness, to @williewilliejuan, about half of his homers were inside-the-parkers.

3.000 hits.

i think that is going to become as rare as 100 SB in a season soon.
I think .300 careers are going to be more rare. I could see longevity increasing, but with improving defense and pitching and more development of kids in an ultimate-outcome mode getting on base isn't as important.

Didn’t flub. Y’all just expanding the modifier to the ridiculous instead of using the modifier as obviously intended

3000 hits gets you into Cooperstown (minus the Hit King). A .400 season doesn't necessarily do that.
