I had a similar experience to hers as a kid with Taco Bell. A supreme burrito. Luckily, I didn’t let go right in public….but I wasn’t able to do Taco Bell again until later in my teens.

Ironically, it was the munchies that brought me back to Taco Bell for a bit

It's all GMO'ed garbage. Every one of them. At least Jet's is still good (last time I had it).

In about 1996, my boss insisted we go to Taco Bell one day and he'd pay, so I loaded up.

I have an iron stomach; can eat roadkill and never puke.

I puked for 36 straight hours.

Haven't been back since; not even once! Wouldn't eat it if it were free.

I can do Taco John's, but even that's rare and my limit of fast food Mexican.

We gave it a try a few weeks ago. New store and the building looks nice.

The food was fucking garbage. Got the youngest one grilled chicken teriyaki and when I opened the box at home, I just threw it out based on looks alone.

everything else was mediocre to shit.

All of them within 45 minutes of me died before COVID.

The one is set to reopen as a weedshop soon. Very exciting times.

My brother and a few of my high school buddies worked at the first Godfathers Pizza ever to open. It was on 99th and Q in Omaha. Willie Thiessen owned a bar called Wild Willy's next to it in a strip mall, bought it out, knocked out the wall, and it became Godfather's Pizza. They expanded to a couple other places in Omaha before going national and international. They originally used only the finest ingredients. When they went franchise they cheapened the ingredients. A Godfather's pizza today in no way resembles a Godfathers pizza of the 70's. Look, taste, nothing.
Thiessen eventually sold it and tried a few other franchise food joints "Famous Dave's" BBQ being one of them.

I’ll say this though….I let the kids break me down one day last month to get this.

We needed something quick….it looked like this. My older ones told me “trust them”. We were out of there in under 10 mins.

To me that’s not quick, but it did look like we were going to be there for at least a half hour. I’ll give them props on efficiency.

I’m not patient, so I typically avoid Chick-Fil-A because of the lines, but you’re right. They do move those lines pretty quickly for as many people as are usually there. Additionally, they are one of the best at actually getting your order right. So many places screw it up.

My cousin’s kid said the best way to deal with CFA lines is to put your order in via the mobile app when you’re about five minutes away and it will be ready by the time you get there. You do have to run inside to get it though… or sit in your car and wait in the line to show them you’ve already ordered & paid which defeats the purpose, but the line is definitely avoidable.

They manage a shitload of customers on a daily basis.... They make other fast-food chains look incompetent. I have had them give me coupons for free food if they did not hit the mark on service that day. That's what customer service is all about.

Taco Bell hasn't ever given me anything bit the runs!!!

lol makes me think of an incident involving an old army buddy of mine at fort bragg about 16 yrs ago. friend of mine ate taco bell one night, and he got some entree that came with guacamole, and apparently this guacamole he ate was spoiled, likely had been sitting out all day unrefrigerated, made him sick as a dog the next morning. well, that next morning, we were on the manifest for a jump at 7am over Sicily drop zone, and he looked ROUGH; he explained to me what happened (he deduced it was the guac because the others with him also ate taco bell and didn't get ill, but they didn't get what he got, plus he said the guac tasted kinda weird when he ate it). he didn't go to sick call, instead of opting to "tough-guy" it out and stay on the manifest for the jump, but he looked about as green as gumby, and he was literally right next to me on the aircraft (he was behind me in jumping order). he got himself a puke bag that they offer for folks who get motion sickness in the bird, but didn't feel compelled to use it, even though he looked like he was about to die. i was nervous as fuck that he was going to vomit all over the place, including on me, or even worse, as he jumped out of the aircraft, with his puke raining all around and down on me. when we were standing there waiting for the green light for the jumpmasters to start exiting paratroopers out the door, i kept looking back at him and saying "you're fine, man, just hold it a little longer....just hold it a little longer, almost there . . ." he held it until he hit the ground (you hit the ground like a sack of doorknobs, it's not a nice graceful landing like skydiving) and immediately vomited all over himself. medics ended up escorting him back to their vehicle and giving him an IV lol. by the end of the day, he was fine :dhd:
