No, leave it alone.
Stupid question.
I've considered teaching some of my more challenged hitters to swing at a wild pitch if they have two strikes on them. Seems like a dick move though, so never did. Would be funny to see though. Down 0-2 in the count and a ball gets spiked three feet in front of the plate and gets to the backstop. Take a swing and run to first.![]()
I also have my kids take 2nd base on a lot of walks. Usually the pitcher or catcher isn't paying attention and I get a free base. 1/4 of the time they will make a flat footed throw to the outfield and I can get a player to 3rd...on a walk. And if I have a kid on 3rd when the walk happens you know I'm without a doubt sending that kid from 1st to 2nd. They throw down and I get a free run.it's as good as a walk...
My daughter's softball team won a walk-off state championship on a dropped third strike, and the batter was the one who scored.Yep, especially if there is a runner at 3rd.
little-league HR. Those will put a coach in the ground. My daughter's softball team won a walk-off state championship on a dropped third strike, and the batter was the one who scored.

Shitty throw to first makes for some exciting shit.My daughter's softball team won a walk-off state championship on a dropped third strike, and the batter was the one who scored.

That's how it started.Shitty throw to first makes for some exciting shit.
Catcher needs to keep that arm fresh.
or maybe do it like Finnish Baseball, or Pesapallo:oh man, I like making 2nd the new 1st base... gives some excitement to the game... which way will the runner go? Running in a circle is boring.
How about being able to circle the bases multiple times until somebody stops you?
Well at any stage that's a little-league HR. Even the majors have had that happen. Overthrow first, overthrow third...run scores.High school.
But yeah, it did.
and RF needs to have his head out of his ass.Shitty throw to first makes for some exciting shit.

That's why first baseman needs to see where the ball went and get out of the line. If it is in foul to the 1b side, get off the bag to get the throw. If it went 3b side then get into the field so there is room to catch.my problem when catching with a 3rd strike in the dirt was hitting the runner. Mostly righties in my league though so they weren't too far down the base path most times.
Well that's just stupid

If the kids won't panic it is an easy play. But most panic and make a bad throw.
