When all is said and done -- A&M will be the reason why NIL deals will have strict guidelines and I wouldn't be too shocked if the NCAA investigates the transactions for their recent recruiting class.

If they had paid for one or two players -- it wouldn't have put an enormous spotlight on them. They went all in and bought anyone willing to accept the money. As I said though -- I'm jealous. I wish Michigan would do that. I couldn't care less about the repercussions on NIL deals in the future. I just want to see my team win.

However that’s not anywhere related to what I posted or the situation. Get Auburn out of your head as you have Aggie trees to poison now.

I guarantee Michigan isn't. Hell. One of the top transfers for basketball committed to UM until the administration wouldn't allow his credits to transfer from Texas Tech. So he went to Illinois. Same thing with Xavier Worthy -- he was committed and ready to enroll at UM and the administration wouldn't let him over some HS credits, so he withdrew and enrolled at Texas a week later.

Now there are teams buying recruits, but it is only a handful, as it isnt worth it for the rest of them, as one or two recruits isn't changing anything. They'd have to do what A&M did and buy an entire class.

If it gets you a national title -- it will be worth it. If they end up middle of the pack in the SEC, the money will dry up, and the recruits will go to where they can win titles.

CFP makes it worth it, to me. Money isn't going to dry up, not with our inferiority complex and desire to do whatever it takes to win.

Yep, I can't see the burnt orange OR maroon money drying up at all. (Market is more likely to cause a drying up than any of this.) Other Texas schools yeah. But not those two. I don't think most people know how much money agnut and rusty cow faithful will throw at sumpin'. And they don't even care if others consider it to be "throwing it away".
