They didn't want to pay 34mil to the mwc, and the pac didn't really commit to SDSU, and there isn't room til the Cali teams bounceDidn’t want to hurt their playoff chances by joining the PAC?
The MWC would have been happy to take the 34 milThey didn’t have an invite to the PAC.
The MWC was always going to take them back though. If I’m the MWC I make the new GOR longer.
But SDSU is their bell cow, the one making them the most. They don’t want to lose them and I get it. If I’m the MWC I’m at least having a talk about a GoR. Do they not have one? There have been folks on Twitter (yes I know I’m using Twitter) saying they could declare by next June 30th to get into the PAC for the 2025 season and still only pay the 17.The MWC would have been happy to take the 34 mil
What I was reading earlier was the PAC had nothing to really offer. They dont have a TV deal finalized, and SDSU was trying to get an extension to avoid paying the full 34mil.But SDSU is their bell cow, the one making them the most. Their voice might be limited right now, but the MWC accepting them back and if they continue to be the bell cow theyWhat I was reading earlier was the PAC had nothing to really offer. They dont have a TV deal finalized, and SDSU was trying to get an extension to avoid paying the full 34mil.
GOing forward, regardless of their production, they have declared they are going to leave, and will have no voice in the conference.
Did they declare, publicly, that they were leaving?Their voice might be limited right now, but the MWC accepting them back and if they continue to be the bell cow they
l regain said voice. Look and Oregon and UDub, they want out of the PAC but yet still have a voice in it.
Technically neither did SDSU. I think they should have (they knew the MWC would welcome them back) but they sent two letters, the second of which stating the first wasn’t a declaration of leaving just a notice of a notice.Did they declare, publicly, that they were leaving?

Sure, but they had a deadline or the exit fee doubled. That’s the whole reason this happened and still technically they never gave official notice. They call that backpedaling
