Well, exhibit A: look at how many people are gleeful about SEC bowl losses. They get eyeballs, apparentlyThe committee/BCS loves putting loser SEC programs in the playoffs.
Well when Texas moves to the SEC we will get to see if the bottom of the Big 12 is better than the bottom of the SEC.
What you were saying about conference teams being "bumped up" because the conference has team(s) in the CFP is definitely true.
But the Tech/Miss State doesn't fit that bill IMO. That was my reasoning from asking the question. Miss State was a "middler" and Tech was a "bottomer" so it wasn't a disadvantage for Miss State or the SEC in the match up.

Texas was in the bottom half of the Big12 this season..Arkansas 40 Texas 21....
Looks like we've established that the bottom of the Big 12 isn't as good as the middle of the SEC...guess we will have to see how Oklahoma does.
Generally speaking with Leach he is all for opt outs. His philosophy for bowl games seems to be a tryout for the next season.Going to have to disagree, neither has a great record. both are middlers that have played well at times this year.
I would be embarrassed to watch my teammates struggle in a game like that, while I sat on my ass waiting for the draft, but I think we are both from a different era in regards to that.
Opt-outs seem to be a recurring problem for Leach, he had a ton of opt-outs last year too...wonder if there is a shed in Starkville too?

But still is going to beat Bama in September

South Carolina getting the SEC’s manhood backCan't spell SEC without SC....
4-0 the SEC fans are thumping their chest saying how they are the greatest. 0-4 and the bowl games are a waste and they didn’t want to be there.SEC goes 4-0 and the OP would be crying about "it's not about conferences".

If you say so. I think OP is just scared like a little girl that a weak SEC team is going to beat his Grand Dragon led Iowa team.4-0 the SEC fans are thumping their chest saying how they are the greatest. 0-4 and the bowl games are a waste and they didn’t want to be there.
I couldn’t believe that one. If you can’t bet on Mike Leach being a petty, grudge holding, SOB, what can you bet on?Going to have to disagree, neither has a great record. both are middlers that have played well at times this year.
