Speaking of wood floors

That's looking really good. I'm a big fan of material selection. Didn't expect that would turn out that nice.

The tiles match my feature wall in the game room, thats why I chose them.

This is just the start of the entire second floor being swapped out to wood. I have several other projects on the list before I even think about the first floor tile. First floor laundry room, bathroom and kitchen. Then, and only then will I consider doing the 1st floor flooring. Probably 2 to 3 years out.

I know that feeling all too well, looks like judging from the stairs it will look pretty damn good once it is all finished :D
 
Have spent no less than 4 hours on sanding, spackling, and caulking the white painted wood on either side, and the banister and spindles. I hate wood prep for paint. Its all work that no one in the fucking world will notice, but me.

The wife "why didnt you put put a fresh coat on paint on it?"

Me " you could never see all the nail holes and paint runs that have been on this thing since before we moved in?"

Thats what I did last time, and every time I walked by the shit, runs and gaps in the wood just poked me in the eye. The shit that I am completely anal retentive over, and the shit that I cant care about, makes no sense some times.
