I’m with @Hitman Hart . Wrath of khan was way better than it’s predecessor.

What about Star Wars? Any of the ones after it better than the original?

Rocky? Any of the sequels better than the original?

Empire can be argued that it is better than New Hope, but personally, I like New Hope better.

Rocky 4 was good, but it was such a different beast than Rocky, it is hard to compare them. I will go with Rocky over 4, personally.

I haven’t seen it in years. And I really don’t remember much about it. On the surface, that is not a good sign, when comparing it to a classic like Rocky.

A couple months late… but I always also liked the “we’re assembling the best all star youth hockey team in the country to compete in an Olympic style tournament. so… grab that group of talentless misfits you coached up a couple years ago, and consider two or three of these other weirdos we flew in too. This one thinks he’s a cowboy and this one doesn’t know how to stop. Might as well find some street kid to join when you get to LA too.” vibes.
