What is a Utsa exactly? Tennessee has looked as good as anybody and Ole Miss too. Ironically 2 teams Texas does not play.
Yeah, Texas only scheduled the defending national champs and the pre-season and current #1 in the nation.

Transitive property doesn’t work in CFB.
Not relating transitive property at all. I didn’t say that A beat B and B beat C, therefore A can beat C. I said that Kentucky looked like utter dogshit at home while playing a team that scraped by Old Dominion. That team, South Carolina, beat the brakes off Kentucky while only having about 250 total yards. So, then, the supposed #1 team in the land goes to Kentucky and has scored 9 points until way late in the game.

I am not saying Texas should be #1 because who have they really played. Hell, this early in the season, it is hard to tell who anyone has played. A lot of teams look like the non powdered underside of a fat, sweaty woman’s tit.

Just saying, I could put Georgia #1, maybe Texas #1.

yeah UGA isn't going to drop.. Texas will stay at 2..

and if everything holds firm.. we'll have a 1 vs 2 matchup next month

Man, which bourbon would go best with that game? I CAN’T WAIT

You pretty much just described the transitive property. Your argument is because KY lost to a team that barely beat another scrub team that somehow means GA beating that team (barely) in their own house diminishes the quality of that win to the point where they lose their number 1 spot.

Thats almost like double transitive property.

Ohio State is #1, so suck it. Some very smart people say that all the time.

Don’t know what it is about Lexington, KY, but it just breeds ugly games

Probably the smell

I voted "should be, but won't," and my reasoning is thus: they won't be, because Georgia won a tough road game in conference, but they should be #1, because then it will be even funnier when they lose to somebody like Vanderbilt

Lol Texas agreed to this home and home in 2014 after Michigan went 5-7 and Georgia is in your conference now.

Texas generally does schedule a marquee team OOC but this was a weird flex

Right now I got;

1. Texas
2. Ohio State
3. Georgia
4. Oregon
5. Alabama

So, shouldn’t I almost rank Georgia #1, South Carolina #2, Kentucky #3?

I have a different view than most on polls. I think we should just react to current information and not project. There should be a lot volatility and over-reaction in the first month. Eventually things will smooth themselves out, as we get more data points. There is a great argument for Texas to be #1 this week. I don’t think it happens with Ewers injury. Georgia’s performance was not #1 worthy. They should move down. I still think they are the best team and will get back to #1, but hard to ignore the poor showing last night. You could make an argument for Tenn based on the first few weeks
