Same for Bama. You really think Michigan is gonna hang with Bama when Saban has a month to prepare?

It’s a weird year. Most years, Alabama, Texas and UGA would all be in. This year, there happens to be 3 undefeated teams that would all probably lose to all 3 teams mentioned.

But leaving out a 13-0 P5 team for a 12-1 team is just bad.

If you want the 4 best teams, results be damned, make the playoffs Michigan, Texas, Bama and UGA. It would make for a far better playoff. It also sends the message that on field results don’t matter and would be a farce

If Bama gets in, they’re winning it all

Florida State might not stand much of a chance, but they’ve earned a playoff spot.

Nobody gave TCU a chance last year either, and they made it to the NCG

TCU got trounced and so will Bama or FSU in a NCG.

I love the sound of Washington and Texas in the final. Oregon and Texas would have been mayhem.

Wait. How does how you play not matter if you go with the 4 best teams? That's all that matters. Just like it makes playing weak OOC schedules and in weak conferences matter. What it does do is make the W-L record not be the trump card.

Bama isn’t getting trounced by anyone. Washington and Texas is likely a first round matchup

Subjective, but weakest?

Of course it is if by that you mean we don't see an almost unbeatable super team waiting to steamroll the two teams they face.

First time we could see any of the teams going in capable of winning it, or at least not a shock if any did.

Most CFP have 1 or maybe 2 real teams and the others are sacrificial lambs.

All we are missing this time is that killer real team. More lambs.
