Ellie gets in the truck...had never been in a car before and didn't know how seatbelts work...

but she knows what a fucking cassette tape is and how to play one?

this is fun to think about

The episode starts in 2003, so CDs exist and mp3s exist...and Bill has a collection of songs on computer in the bunker...all that he likely downloaded illegally off Napster I am assuming.

I doubt Ellie has ever heard music on a radio to be honest let alone that you can record music onto a cassette from the radio

If we’re going to doubt the accuracy of things, Bills own private town having a natural gas generator that works for decades without needing to source parts seemed like a stretch.

Once paint freezes, it’s no good. So I guess they kept Home Depot fully operational.

Frank missing all the trip wire boobie traps but falling in a Turkey trap also stands out.

Great episode though. One of the best from HBO in recent years imo.

I agree it was a great episode. When watching shows that aren't documentaries, I usually don't focus of details like this.

I didn't know that once frozen paint isn't any good anymore. I assumed that paint being transferred during the winter on train cars froze.

Oil base has to get cold af to freeze. It’ll freeze though. But latex paint freezes easily. A gallon or a 5 gallon bucket, doesn’t matter. Can’t even use it as primer afterward. All clumpy and stringy.

I have no idea how it’s shipped in mass quantities.
