So, to the game, i got to sit high up in the North Endzone, i always thought that was nosebleed, but actually enjoyed the view and perspective. a little chilly when wind kicked up, but otherwise nice day to watch football.
D - solid. did so much well, a few mistakes here and there, the long play for MDs first score and the PI on last drive to help MD get into scoring position quicker. But 3 TOs, they were doing everything they could to help the offense. Still wish they'd drive on receivers sooner or cover closer in zone D, gave up some easy first downs on stuff like that.
O - i already talked about QB. Sat clearly doesn't understand playcalling, I don't recall any playaction on Saturday that is actually setup by run plays. Drives where he decides to just pass every stinking down. Very little variety in the run game, seemed like when we tried something different, it tended to work. I feel like the OL is getting somewhat better, still not good enough, but boxscore only has 1 sack.
Coaching - poor - mostly on O playcalling above - yes there was wind, but in 1st half we got it to the MD 27 going into wind, you gotta try and take the points, but instead shotgun 4&2 play that lost yards. MD scores 2 plays later. We get a chance for a last drive and Sims makes the boneheaded INT. gotta do a better job of putting this offense in position to succeed, 5 turnovers is not doing that. If Haarberg isn't healthy, gotta go with Purdy, full reps this week and really work running game and passes off of it. Read option and RPO off that is my preference, but i swear to god, Sat doesn't have any of that in the playbook.
