Nebraska Cornhuskers The Official 10000 posts for a Husker Conference Championship

So, to the game, i got to sit high up in the North Endzone, i always thought that was nosebleed, but actually enjoyed the view and perspective. a little chilly when wind kicked up, but otherwise nice day to watch football.

D - solid. did so much well, a few mistakes here and there, the long play for MDs first score and the PI on last drive to help MD get into scoring position quicker. But 3 TOs, they were doing everything they could to help the offense. Still wish they'd drive on receivers sooner or cover closer in zone D, gave up some easy first downs on stuff like that.

O - i already talked about QB. Sat clearly doesn't understand playcalling, I don't recall any playaction on Saturday that is actually setup by run plays. Drives where he decides to just pass every stinking down. Very little variety in the run game, seemed like when we tried something different, it tended to work. I feel like the OL is getting somewhat better, still not good enough, but boxscore only has 1 sack.

Coaching - poor - mostly on O playcalling above - yes there was wind, but in 1st half we got it to the MD 27 going into wind, you gotta try and take the points, but instead shotgun 4&2 play that lost yards. MD scores 2 plays later. We get a chance for a last drive and Sims makes the boneheaded INT. gotta do a better job of putting this offense in position to succeed, 5 turnovers is not doing that. If Haarberg isn't healthy, gotta go with Purdy, full reps this week and really work running game and passes off of it. Read option and RPO off that is my preference, but i swear to god, Sat doesn't have any of that in the playbook.

Rhule is right to call out the replay refs. Idk about you guys, but it really feels like the refs are just out to get the Huskers and it's felt like that for a while. These are 2 easy calls that they fucked up and there is no accountability.

so, i just watched the Mich St game on Friday, as I was busy last Saturday and heard we loss and couldn't bring myself to watch it until I came back from a work trip. That call didn't really hurt us, as much as a bunch of other really bad no calls. That was a 1st down play, so they would have had plenty of opportunities for more and we still had plenty of time to make it up. I also don't think the football really moved, yes it hit the ground, but he caught it and kept it in his possession without it moving, which satisfies the definition of a catch, I think.

there was a facemask on Haarberg, where the ref was looking right at it and just let it go, rearranged his helmet, kept him from running away from that defender, who ended up making the sack after he flew by him. that call could have been a game changer.

But hey, here is some great news that I saw or didn’t see today! Frost should be in here - no? :noidea:

Pratt gives you the best game ready QB. Murphy would be interesting, seems to be highly recruited, Kienholz, just wondering why Ohio St reached into SD for a QB ,maybe he is good? Maiava, pass on him. Flores was #2 QB per 247 in NE when he graduated, Isn't he similar to what they have now in Heinrich??

Kienholz would be a homerun. And Lincoln is closer to home.

Go get him!

Husker football has yet to pull off a win in Madison since joining the B1G. Does that happen tonight?

Don't know if anyone is paying attention but Hoiberg has got something this season. Up 20 at the half vs Oregon st.

Yea, I'm watching. Will see against Creighton here in a couple of weeks. Nice them just winning the games they are supposed to. Could use a better defender in middle, Kieta hopefully, but been injured and not sure what he'll provide. As long as they are hitting some 3s, they should hang in some games.
