Nebraska Cornhuskers The Official 10000 posts for a Husker Conference Championship

It will still be considered the 2025 championship tho.

Just like tOSU's title will be for the 2024 season, not 2025.

The 2026 Natty will be played Jan 2027.

Not sure how much credit I'd give to a poster if they don't even know the simple things.
It's the 25-26 season. The national champ is won through the playoff, which will be the 2026 CFP.

Well someone's a fucking idiot because tOSU's Natty will be documented for the 2024 season.

Nebraska's 1994, 1995, and 1997 Natty's were for that season, but played in 1995, 1996, and 1998. I have 2 cases of 'Error' Coke bottles that say Nebraska won the Natty in 1995 & 1996.

iirc I sent one to @CudBNe1 because he won a contest that I had on Euro-hoop back in the day.

Yes sir; you sure did. Still got it too.

LOL... Unopened too.
When I saw them I bought 3 cases because I noted the error immediately. Baker's pulled them off the display soon after. I gave a whole 6 pack (carrier and all) to a buddy in trade for Oregon @ Nebraska tickets in row 17 on the 40 yd line.

The Huskers won so good trade. ;)

Might as well turn their uniforms in tonight. Nebrasketball season is over

And still unopened good sir.

Sad. I used to work out with him occasionally. Him and Kenny Walker.

LOL..... I admit Nebrasketball has suckered me back in, although I don't watch their games anymore.

However, they haven't suckered me back in because they could possibly finish above .500 in the Big 10, get to 20 overall wins, and make the big dance. :nonono:

It's because I'm genuinely curious if they can manage to finish dead last in conference play. i.e. 18th out of 18. This complete collapse is beyond comical.
Nebraska (currently 17th at 2-7, has lost 6 in a row by an average score of 86-72 (14 pts).
Washington (currently 18th at 1-8, has lost 6 in a row by an average score of 79 - 66 (13 pts).

Circle Wed Feb 5th on your calendars as Nebraska travels to Washington for what appears to be the Big 10's biggest pillow fight of the season. Washington will likely be 1-9 and Nebraska will likely be 2-9.
A Washington win moves them to (2-9) with the head-to-head over Nebraska who'll then be in last place at 2-10.

To put things into perspective, you'd have to go back to Adolph Lewandowski (1940 - 1945) to see a worse overall winning percentage than Hoiberg.

Adolph Lewandowski (1940 - 1945) was .276
L.F. "Pop" Klein (1945 - 1946) was .350
Harry Good (1946 - 1954) was .462
Jerry Bush (1954 - 1963) was .380
Joe Cipriano ( 1963-1980) was .564
Moe Iba (1980 - 1986) was .599
Danny Nee (1986 - 2000) was .572
Barry Collier (2000 - 2006) was .494
Doc Sadler (2006 - 2012) was .532
Tim Miles (2012 - 2019) was .504
Fred Hoiberg ( 2019 - current) is .325

Welcome home Coach.

LOL

That was actually my news that John Cook had even retired.

Dude was a great coach. I wish him well and Dani Busboom Kelly the best of luck going forward.

I had no idea Cook retired.
Pretty crazy how this all happened in under a 30 minute time span. I really thought Cook would stay till the Harper Murray class graduated. Dani is as good of a hire as you could get as Cook’s replacement
