Nebraska Cornhuskers The Official 10000 posts for a Husker Conference Championship

Wow. Zimmerman just took a wicked one hopper square in the nose.
Lots of blood.
That shot got him out of the 8th inning tho.

Luke Brodrick with a nice close.

#24 Huskers beat #16 Vandy 6-4.

Swansen drove in all of Nebraska's 6 runs.

Gabe Swansen dedicated the win to Greg Sharpe in his after game interview. Said he got to know him well in the last 4 years.

Swansen hit a triple, a double, and a homer tonight.

Class act.

Bad start by Husker basketball vs Northwestern. Getting completely dominated on the boards so far

Outside of an auto-bid for winning the Big 10 Tournament, Nebrasketball's home loss to Minnesota has probably eliminated them from NCAA Tournament consideration. Rightly so since they're guaranteed to finish sub .500 in the regular season by at least 2 games.

With just 2 games remaining in the regular season, I think the only thing left to witness is whether Nebrasketball can play it's way out of the 15 team Big 10 tournament.

Penn St and Washington have got #17 and #18 locked up.

#16 and joining Penn St and Washington on the outside will be among these teams....

This poor guy. I want him to do well. But wtf. How do you have 4 years left

Yea don’t know how has 4 years left bc thought started in 2022. Even with a redshirt and medical year, should have used one year. Maybe he needs to move on in life before he is a 25-26 year old senior in a few years.

Looking like Nebraska's not gonna be able to afford Hoiberg's buyout.
His contract was extended last March thru 2028/2029 by the interim President and interim AD. He was also given a raise to $4.5 million/yr.

What a let down of a season. How do you go from being on the bubble with a good chance of getting in to not even making your conference tournament, all in the span of about a month?

Called it March 2nd.

I'd actually predicted sooner that Nebrasketball was gonna "Rip your hearts out".
But I didn't think it would be as bad missing the Big 10 tournament altogether.

This ain't football and they're already apparently hurting for money down there. Canceling the Nebraska/Tennessee football series to get an extra home game in was the proof in that.

Highly doubtful a booster shows up with $18 million for a Hoiberg basketball buyout.
