Nebraska Cornhuskers The Official 10000 posts for a Husker Conference Championship

Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.

Blown the fuck out in there last two road games, then lose to Rutgers at home.

Nebraska's back in the Big 10 basketball cellar where they belong.

Last season was a fluke a la Tim Miles one tourney appearance.

I'm done.

No I'm not gonna spend the time to look it up and verify. Fuck 'em.
Have fun climbing out of the Big 10 basement when you can't win on the road and you lose in the PBA to Rutgers.

The Iowa loss was shit refs in second half, literally called everything on NU and missed the same calls on Iowa. Best example was the most obvious double dribble on Iowa towards end of regulation that would have given it to NU with chance to win instead had to foul and got lucky to tie it to send to OT. D did get softer in 2nd half, part of it was the shitty calls.

Rutgers, I admittedly didn't watch much of. Just seemed like they were expecting to win due to the home crowd and the home winning streak. Lazy D and not a ton of effort on O when I was watching. Gary was the one guy that seemed to have the energy.

Buyuktuncel hasn't been good at all lately, he played well earlier this year and know he was dealing with injury, so not sure if that's it. The team always seemed better when they went with him, Gary, Williams, Worster and essegian. It's a little smaller but everyone moved better and gave Gary or Williams more room to drive.

To be fair, Nebraska was a trap game for OSU in Columbus.

Oct 12: @ #2 Oregon
Oct 19: Bye
Oct 26: Nebraska
Nov 2: @ #3 Penn St

Nebraska had just gotten blown out by Indiana 56-7 the week prior. Ohio St wasn't taking them seriously. There's a pattern in Nebraska men's sports where they only seem to play up to their potential when they're getting screamed at/criticized by fans and media. It's not a Rhule thing. It's been going on for over a decade. I think it started under Pelini and they haven't been able to flush it out of the system.

Could Nebraska have pulled the upset? Absolutely. (If a couple of PI calls had gone their way).

I have faith that year 3 is where things turn around for the Huskers.

2025 season, won in 2026

It will still be considered the 2025 championship tho.

Just like tOSU's title will be for the 2024 season, not 2025.

The 2026 Natty will be played Jan 2027.

Not sure how much credit I'd give to a poster if they don't even know the simple things.
