RJD for me........

And I gotta adk why these guys are even on the list:
DLR-loved his schtick as best frontmen ever and liked him even more when he left VH....
Cornel- hes not heavy metal.
Paul Stanley-I liked Kiss back in the day,but heavy metal.....no
Lemmy - he is absolutley horrible, even that overrated Ace of Spades song.
David Coverdale-get outta here with that......
Vince Niel- see above post......

And are the 2000s bands included in this......??

I don't know, I just wanted to add some names beyond the obvious choices. Also, KISS is metal!

i was between dio and dickinson. pat the bat's walk up song being holy diver settled it for me, plus, he is the best, no?

Ive never thought of Kiss as metal....rock sure, metal nah.....80s Kiss sucked ass.
You’re nuttier than squirrel turds! Lick it up is their best album!

Paul Stanley is a tranny. I will butt fuck anyone who says otherwise

Ice T Fin GIF by Law & Order

but there is your voice of metal

Tough, there are a few here that could qualify. Ozzy, Hetfield, and Dickinson are all at the top. Halford even belongs in the conversation. I can't consider any of the glam metal singers. Coverdale deserves to be at the top of that group.

Kiss was my introduction into metal when I was in 5th grade and much of that had to do with Ace who I still am a fan of but outgrew them by 8th grade. The ease in which they were willing to sellout for a buck was a turnoff to many. First by releasing disco and then by trying to jump into the glam metal scene.

i don't know or really like metal, but i dig Rob Zombie and Phil Anselmo.
Also - happy birthday to Rob :beer2:

As far as the "voice", it would unfortunately have to be that prick Mustaine and Ozzy for me.

Sammy, especially his Montrose days.

*recency bias, since I am doing a deep dive of Montrose this AM
