From here it’s bound to end up more regionalized again down the road. This new mess will go on for a few years, and then will end up with the super conferences with regional divisions.

Seems like there’s no way that doesn’t happen.

SEC (1932) and ACC (1953) both formed because the Southern Conference was too big.

More than 12 teams in a conference is dumber by nature. 14 was tolerable. 16+ is a joke at best

I like 12 teams two divisions - 5 Division Games 4 Other Division Games and 3 Out of Conference games ... pretty simple.

It’s a good thing the playoff expanded for more reasons that 4 spots for 5 conferences stupidity anyway. IMO the days of undefeated and prob even 1 and 2 loss champions are over. I think we are gonna see a lot more NFL type of season W/L records and the undefeated team(s) will be rare and… even more special TBH.

Buddy, non playoff bowl games are jokes. A&M lost to Florida and LSU that year and has never won the West let alone a conference title. Texas has more potential than OU. OU ain’t getting by Texas, Bama, UGA and LSU to win the conference though

However, I've never been convinced that Terry was the guy.. Beard WAS the guy and he choked it all away.. I have a bad feeling that the Terry signing could be a repeat of what happened with Tech when they gave their coach an extension after getting to the elite 8 the first year Beard was gone
