My father-in law was upset that the Packers didn't trade up for an elite WR. I told him it's not in their MO...

I hope he's gone so the Packers don't have a shot at him, feel remorseful and pick Leo Chenal at #59He will be one of the first 3 off the board in round 2. Teams overnight are all looking there and trying to figure out how to trade up.
Chenal would have value as a pass rusher despite playing middle LB at Wisconsin.I hope he's gone so the Packers don't have a shot at him, feel remorseful and pick Leo Chenal at #59
The dude ran like a 4.58 40 after just 13 weeks of rehab. ACLs are typically stronger after they are repaired so very little risk and he will be ready to play by training camp.Trading up to take a guy hobbled by an ACL tear is the most Detroit thing ever.
Willis is a good kid but he won't be anything but a backup in the NFL.Stunned. Thought that would be for Willis. But that’s bold.
He has the physical tools to play anywhere at the second level. Needs to clean up his coverage skills, but size and speed will win out.Chenal would have value as a pass rusher despite playing middle LB at Wisconsin.
I'm sure Rodgers is thrilled.Who going to catch the passes?

I look at WRs being scrambled for and wonder who will throw the ball.Who going to catch the passes?
A WR is only as good as the QB throwing him the ball.I look at WRs being scrambled for and wonder who will throw the ball.
Few thoughts, ACL recoveries are almost a guarantee now days. 2. Prior to the injury, he was considered the best WR in the class and 3. The lions don't need him this year at all. I think it's a great move, and really all they gave up was a 3rd round pick and 12 spots in the 2nd round. All said and done, Detroit might have grabbed the best defensive and offensive player in the draft.Trading up to take a guy hobbled by an ACL tear is the most Detroit thing ever.
Williams was the best WR in the draft and the Lions hit a home run with this pick. He is projected to be ready by mid October.Few thoughts, ACL recoveries are almost a guarantee now days. 2. Exactly. If they were thinking WR with the late 1st round or the 2nd round pick, they came out hugely on top here. Got one of the few elite WRs in the class and gave up almost nothing to do it. It was one of those trades you hear someone talk about before the draft as fantasy like, "Why would Minnesota ever give up the 12 for that?"Williams was the best WR in the draft and the Lions hit a home run with this pick. Given there were no super elite QB's in the class this year, and the Lions having 2 first round picks again next year, this makes all the sense in the world. When they do get a QB in, they'll have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, a really good set of RB's, and the Lions have added Amon-Ra St. Brown, D.J. Chark, and Jameson Williams to their WR room. The rest of this draft should focus on defensive players, especially in the secondary. But IMO they're setting this up nicely to support a QB whenever they're able to get one.All the Lions need now is a QB to throw him the ball.
